i didn't go to the game last night but from what some people told me, the fans were "bad" fans and cost the knicks the game.

if that's the measuring stick, to get in the playoffs by hook or by crook, then that will leave some satisfied.

I am really disgusted right now with this team but I am not going to abandon them. Indy is still playing like s**t and we have a game against Orlando coming up. If we beat Orlando, we still have a decent shot at the postseason.

game - what does making the postseason mean? is it a redemption for the knicks? what are you saying by that exactly. how can this franchise possibly benefit from making the postseason - not attacking you, just curious as to your thoughts, b/c i see alot of dudes on this board saying that, but i do not believe making the playoffs actually helps the state of this franchise. i believe the opposite - making the playoffs actually worsens us b/c it only allows for the delusion that this team is getting better. only way "this" team gets better is if "this" team aint together anymore....IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.......

I understand what you are saying jimimou but making the playoffs IMO will be huge for the Knicks for several reasons.

First, I do not want to give the Bulls another damn lottery pick. If the Knicks don't make the playoffs and our pick somehow turns into a top 3 pick, I don't even want to imagine how the fans would feel. The Knicks need to avoid that possibility and making the playoffs does that.

Second, these young kids need to see playoff intensity and realize that as hard as they think they are playing, they have a long way to go before they are at an elite level. I think the playoffs would be a good experience for them.

Third, it is time we start raising expectations. If the team makes the playoffs this year, there will be no excuse for not making the playoffs next year. If we get swept in the playoffs, there will be no excuse for not winning more games next year in the playoffs.

Fourth, I just want to see the Knicks in the playoffs. I love Knicks basketball, even this watered down version, and I don't want it to end.

Now I do recognize that this team might take making the playoffs as a sign that their have arrived, but really I think getting bounced out of the first round should send a strong enough message that they have a long way to go.
