Not McDonald's. The Ronald McDonald House, it's a charity, so we can side step those jokes.

I don't think many of these guys here even care or know that. Its actually nice to hear that the guy was willing to sit in that much traffic for the event.

it sounds pathetic, but then who really knows what it feels like to be in a 285 lb. 6'10" body?
I'm sure Eddy DOESN'T!

Pampered?

>>To make fun of how pathetic, lazy, and pampered he is...... uhhhhhhh YES IT IS!

TrueBlue - the Ronald McDonald House was established for childern with terminal illness. Eddy Curry should be commended for taking the time to share some time with some kids a lot less fortunate than ANY of us.

Perhaps his visit could be an example of something noble we might all think about, before continuing the not-so-funny remarks about the Knicks man-child.

Maybe playing in the NBA night after night can cause any player to develop back problems?

Is Q fat and lazy? He has back problems. Steve Nash too. All sorts of players have back problems, so I don't think this is proof of fat and lazy.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Aren't most of these charity appearances mandated by the team? I really don't know the answer but that's always been my take on it. Some dudes, like H20, David Robinson, Steve Smith, etc, may go above and beyond and do extra of their own volition, but I think most of it is mandated.

BlueSeats - what does it matter in relation to Eddy Curry stepping up to make an appearance that otherwise would not receive as much coverage as Tony Larussa driving while intoxicated.(?)

all right all right, some are getting offended at the depiction of eddy as a pathetic, pampered, lazy slob. in deference to those, i would like to state that . . .

he's OUR pathetic, pampered, lazy slob! and no one but US can call him that! we're keeping it in the family!

better?

There's nothing wrong with Eddy's participation, I just don't think it rises to the "commendable" and "noble" ranks that you've assigned it if it's mandated by his, and all Knicks', contract.

Cool BS. Then lets not make a big deal out of any Knicks appearance, for any cause (noble or otherwise), from now on.

Beat Portland.

What was he gonna do when they hit the traffic? Get out?

Nobody is ridiculing Curry for going to the charity event. He's being ridiculed because he couldn't survive the 2 hour car trip to get there.
