Does Memphis have a $140mil dollar payroll?

No. 62mil.

Does Memphis still have it's lottery pick(s)

Yes. Cross fingers its 1 or 2.

Does Memphis have cap space next yr?

Not if they sign their draft picks. They'll have something close to the MLE.

Does Memphis have a Franchise talent?

Maybe. Is Gasol considered to be in that top tier? Max player?

Does Memphis have multiple bad contracts on their roster?

Cardinal, Swift, Miller

Does memphis have tradeable assets?

Warrick and Gay maybe.

Is Memphis on the road to a title? Or will they cap out at 50 wins.

Mike Miller's contract is not attractive but it's not bad. His name has come up several times on this board to trade for. Swift's contract is not bad it's and MLE deal and he was recently traded for Shane Battier and Rudy Gay after the first yr into a 4yr deal. He'll only have 2yrs left and that's if he exercises his option.

The cap is going to be at about $55mil next yr and they will be at $42mil of committed salary before draft picks count against their cap. They should have about $5-7mil in cap space to sign someone after the picks. They also can trade to Gasol to a team under the cap, get further under not taking back as much salary, get pick(s) and/or young talent plus get a TPE in the process.

They have plenty to work with to build towards being a 50/+win team.

We can also be a 50 win team in two years. This year 38 wins, next year 44, and 50+ thereafter.

But many say thats the ceiling for us. But somehow thats good enough for Memphis?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I never said it was mind you they have won 50, 45, 49 and you along with other Knick Lovers have the team's ceiling at 44 which isn't better than any previous single season record the past 3yrs for the Grizzlies.

What I like about the Grizzlies situation they are set up to rebuild to be contenders. The Knicks are far and away not.

Hmmm... where are you getting this from? Needless to say i think you're off-base. IF NEXT YEAR we get 44 or 45 wins. Who says that is a ceiling?

Well they aren't going to get 38wins this yr 15gms left and a brutal schedule after Portland. They have to go 8-7 it won't happen. So 38 wins is probably next yr. Then that would be 5yrs in a row of a non winning record and then what?

http://www.nba.com/suns/interactive/jcolangelo_transcript_010417.html
"After his rules responsibilities, Colangelo turns his attention to the Suns' 13th straight playoff appearance. In fact, after joining the expansion Suns in 1968 as the youngest general manager in professional sports, Colangelo had built them into a playoff team by their second year in existence. After nearly 20 years as Phoenix's GM, he put together an ownership group to buy the Suns and ascended to his current position. He owns the second-longest tenure with an NBA franchise, behind only Red Auerbach, who has been with the Boston Celtics since the league's formation in 1946. Under Colangelo's direction, the Suns have made the playoffs now 23 times and have competed in the NBA Finals twice."

I don't think you are talking about the same guy.
