Dallas is my second favorite team and I got tickets just so I could finally see them in the flesh. I've seen the Knicks play a few times but this I consider right up there to watching the Knicks courtside against the Pacers in 2001. Well not maybe but definetly a close second.

Has anybody seen Eddy?
March 20

Eddy Curry was conspicuously absent this morning when shoot-around came to a close.

Apparently, he got up on the wrong side of the bed.

Knicks coach Isiah Thomas claimed not to know the reason why the cornerstone of this rebuilding franchise was stretched out in the training room. He’s not big on details when the dialogue involves medical terminology or timetables.

It’s a good way to avoid controversy.

“Eddy’s got some problems and we’ll see how he is tonight,” Thomas said.

And the nature of these problems is?

“He’s not practicing,” Thomas said. “That’s good enough for me. … Why really doesn’t matter.”

So how serious is the problem?

We don’t really know, but the official statement from the Knicks indicated Curry woke up with a stiff back. He intends to play against Dallas tonight at Madison Square Garden.

Once upon a time, Quentin Richardson woke up with a stiff back.

He’s not expected to suit up tonight, which makes three games in a row. The very same back spasms knocked out the Knicks’ glue player 11 straight games earlier in the season.

No wonder Thomas appealed yesterday to the power of prayer.

For some reason, I have the feeling that this is going to be a close game. We are bad playing after a win, but that usually is when we play a below .500 team. There is no way they do not get up for the best team in the league. Unfortuantely, I think our turnover prone and non-defensive guards are not going to be able to handle Dallas in the 4th quarter when things start getting tight. Maybe IT will sit Francis and play Collins and Balkman in the 4th.
Trust the Process

Hey Marv,

Okay yes objectively speaking they are chokers Miami shouldn't even won a game in that series let alone win the Championship. When they have their A game working its a thing of beauty. Everything you would hope your team to do they can do. Inside, Outside, defense, rebounding, bench players,. Avery is one of the best in the business.

NY can win this game no doubt about it--the Celtics had them dead to rights at dallas the other day and gave the game away. They dont have two of their defensive guards so it's imperative that Marbury goes for close to 30. I would like to keep Balkman in at 3 for most of the game and let Frye and jefferies take turns guarding dirk with their length and agility

Curry struggles against BIG lengthy C but he has to STEP up and show it--hes been off and if the knicks want to be in the playoffs and Ec wants to be the franchise player--then let me see 25 and 8

Nate Robinson CANNOT take 17 shots--he must be told to move the ball when he is not open.
