frye was the 8th pick. isiah said he would've taken him #1.
he played well last year. not good this year.
and his place on this team is now restricted b/c of our focus on eddy.

so, keep him and mold him into a nice complimentary player to eddy (if that can happen) or trade him for another piece on the team that could help us more than a 20 foot from the basket 40% kick out brian cook.

What about developing Frye to be the backup to Curry and Lee and play him 30mpg.

that was suggested a while ago. that's fine and all, but if there's a shot to get a starting SF, SG, or PG for frye, then i think you make the move (a tj/charlie type deal). heck, we may be better off moving him for a late lotto pick this draft (IF that's even possible).

but man, lee + frye + curry would still make up the weakest defensive 4/5 rotation in the league.

Except for 20 games last year--how has Channing Frye earned the right to play 30 minutes in the NBA? Right now he should be playing 15 minutes with orders to play as hard as he can and if he continues to play scared--if he continues to hang out on the perimeter--then we move him. If he can play well in 15 minutes THEN let's give him 25+

The amusing thing was trying to debate people at the beginning of the year that thought frye was the much better prospect than lee.....

A few of those points were in the paint, so expect to see some free throws from him next game. He had ZERO in the last. He is too good a foul shooter to waste not using him in that way, partly.

The last two games he has played really good. He was a bit hesitant at times, but overall he played good. A few rebounds and most notably for him... some DEFENSE. About time. Keep giving him minutes.
