I have a question. Why does a jumpshooting big man like frye need to wear a mouth piece? The dude is averaging 5 rebs per game and is not even trying to block anything.

Again WTF is the mouth piece for?

DA boy has a glass jaw, Frye is a nice guy and all, but to value him asa starting PF is a stretch. His foot speed is what hinders him along with his Charmin label.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Frye is a touchy one for me, I just feel Frye has this untapped potential that is being overshadowed by the emergence of Curry. I feel if we let him go, 5 yrs from now, we will be regretting it. There are times when Frye is on his game, dunking, blocking, and shooting mini hooks, not to mention that very sweet jump shot. When he is on, that shot is pure, most times automatic. However, when he is off, it gets to his head and he disappears. It's all mental with Frye, the only person in his way is him. If we can get a nice PG in return, i dont want to trade him.

Is Fry underachieving or playing the game as his coach is asking him to?

Has the emergence of Dlee taken his spot thus delegating him to the finese jump shooting game?

He was a better rookie, but WHY???

ANd If IM in the NBA I wear a mouth guard also! Getting elbowed by Shaq gotta hurt!

i'd let frye go now and recoup whatever you can. way too timid and soft. much too willing to disappear. those are very bad signs for a 6'11" guy who would need to be relied on on your front line. cut your losses folks. how much more handwriting do you need on the wall?

i can see Frye doing very well on a team w/a great PG who really knows how to run an offense & looks to pass first

he'd do very well on the Jazz playing w/Deron Williams in the pick & roll system that Sloan runs... i also see him playing very well as Tim Duncan's backup in SA, or on a team like the Suns obviously (who wouldn't play well alongside Steve Nash?)... he'd be a good fit for the Nets or the Sixers playing alongside the 2 Andre's too IMO... logically you'd think he would succeed playing w/Marbury in a pick & roll system, & he did well his rookie season for a stretch there, but for some reason he's fallen off & completely lost his confidence.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Yeah, besides if he does develop into something then you can always just blame Isiah. Saying he was stupid to trade a young stud like Frye and leave out the part where everyone wanted him gone. Some may call it being a hyprocrite but I just call it being a Knick fan.

what do you see in his game that makes you predict he's going to "develop into soemthing?" if he had footspeed and athleticism and a consistent offensive mindset to take advantage of his j, then i'd say he could be another rahsard lewis. but he doesn't. if he had a nasty inside game and a temperment to own the lane and boards, then i'd say he could be another chris bosh. but he doesn't. so where are you going with this?

I can see any player with a decent jumper scoring with a good pg, but the question is does 15pts on outside jumpers help you win, especially when he is soft inside and not going to step up to the challenge

I am going with the fact that if he does become useable. I can expect to hear Knick fans say hey stupid Isiah traded him. I am saying its typical Knick fans. They are just notourious for that.

Absolutely... and the fact his value is plummeting.

Let it plummet then. I hate selling low. You never want to sell a stock when its just lost half its value unless you're absolutely SURE the stock is a dog. Are you absolutely SURE Frye is a dog?

He'll never be worth his lotto selection. He had a nice stretch last season, but the memory is fading quickly. I consider "selling" him now "selling high" because he's (a) not that good and (b) a terrible fit on the Knicks... a front court combination of Frye and Curry is just terrible and anytime the two play together just kills Frye's value even more.

So, I suppose there is the potential he could be good on another team, but that will not happen unless Curry chokes on his quadruple bacon cheeseburger or his heart explodes. What's in the best interest of the Knicks is to cash out now, while Frye still has some value.

Frye will get better. We really have not seen this kid fully unleashed because of Curry and Lee. If you told Frye to add about 10-15 more pounds of muscle and moved him to center exclusive, I think that you would see that this kid could become a top-15 center in this league. He realistically could become a center comparable to Mehmet Okur (though probably not quite as good). The kid has value and I would rather wait until he develops before trading him unless we are going to get a major building block back in return.

How is Lee and curry hindering frye in anyway?

Isiah kept channing in the starting line-up even with lee clearly out playing him. Channing himself still said he thought he earned his starting spot! Curry has been the starter since channing has been here.

Channing needs to be a man. Nobody is hindering him. He is pampered. All channing has to do is play the game. Isiah didn't turn him into a jumpshooter. Channing is a jumpshooter. Channing looks like the biggest sucker when he tries to post up. He doesn't fight for position well and he doesn't get space and he doesn't have a move to take his man. Channing is a bum!

I'm very excited about this because I bleed orange and blue. I feel like the knicks are my team. I feel they represent me and my city. Channing doesn't represent me,nor does he rep my city. I can't stand him. The only time he gets fired up is when he is arguing with a ref.

i will say this about channing - i have seen him try to post up alot only to get looked away.

but he's still playing like a pansy. with lee out the rest of the month, he has 10 games to up his value.

Philly is anothe team that could use frye, especially with dalembert. Dalembert is actually a better post player! Anyway, he could fit there. Thing is who do we want from them?

Edit: Steven hunter is a dude the knicks could use on the bench as that mobile shotblocker. That would make TMS happy, lol.
