I love the delusional realizations of fans that just don't have a clue trying to juxtapose this year and last.

I think the post is plenty on target, we haven't secured a playoff berth and are not at 500, this will officially be 4 years in a row not winning more than 40 games, and isiah gets an extension. He won 33 games in year two, last year his players where not willing to buy into fundamentals albeit larry was a disaster, when you have Stephen A. saying what those players did was crinimal speaks volumes.

I am happy we have made progress this year, but seriously look at the teams talent, it should be in the playoffs, Orlando, Indiana, and depleted teams like the Nets, Bucks, etc are not as good.

Dolan is a lost soul and knows nothing about winning, giving a man that has managed get screwed in nearly every deal he has made in his tenure here an extention in the front office is just plain stupid. As a coach fine, but as a GM the future isn't as bright as some may think.....If he makes in the offseason getting rid of crawford and frye in the same package to get something of value in return i think we are in good shape.

I would love to get Atlanta in on a Childress deal involving frye/crawford and a future pick to help balance the team out a little.....Or see if golden state would take a deal for Richardson.

The sense of accomplishment that dolan feels for double nearly every teams payroll finishing under 500 is somtehing to marvel at

LB wakes up today, and reads in the paper the Knicks are in 8th with basically the same team and his ouster is getting an extension.

Life am good.

meanwhile toronto is withing striking distance as we are 5 games behind them.

but wait a second...philly is only 4 games behind us. hmmmm...what's going on around here?

life can't be that good until the regular season is actually over.

philly might have the best player in our division right now, they are looking very promising and screwing their future big time hopefully they keep winning as do the celts and take them out of the running for odom and durant. Charlotte as well we need them to finish 3rd, i don't want to even think about dealing with a Wallace/Durant/Okafur front line....

Blazers and the Grizzles are we instantly go behind any one of those teams in the east and that includes the hawks if they get the number one pick, i guarentee they go hard for billups pairing him with Joe Johnson, Smith, Childress, Williams, Oden

This wasn't that complicated a post, but most of you did not seem to understand what I was trying to say.

All Isiah has done is get the Knicks to 29-34 and barely into the eighth spot in a very weak Eastern Conference in his fourth season on the job. Yet he gets an extension. Why? Because 29-34 and barely in the eighth spot looks mighty good compared to where this team has been during most of Isiah's reign.

He has lowered the expecation level to such a point that it is laughable.

Most of the fans are thrilled with 29-34, and the owner is so giddy that he felt the need to march up to Greenburgh and tell the beat writers that Isiah will be back as both coach and president.

Face it: If you were to be told when Isiah took over three years ago that the Knicks would not make the playoffs in his first two full seasons with the team and would be 29-34 on March 12 of his third full season, would you have thought in your wildest dreams that he would be given an extension?

(And, yes, "crazy like a fox" is a very common phrase. It basically means there is a method to his madness.)

Isiah and Dolan get a clean slate each year. This is year one of rebuilding and year 1 of their tenure. [sarcasm]

He's probably the best *young* player in the division. A year from now big Al or Greg Oden might challenge him for that title though.

Have you been watching AI lately he is 23years old, led the team to 7 wins in a row 8/10 and they are right on our ass, not to mention they beat us the last two times we played them, kicked our ass actually

18.3pts 5.8rbs 5.6ass 2stls a game 46$ from the field....

January Number 20pts 7.6ass 6.3rbs 1.4stls (March 25.8 7.4rbs 6.0rbs 3.2stls)

Bosh and AI i think are the two best players in the conference, thank god they took Arujo over him, but I don't think its a stretch with the way he has been playing and the way philly is playing

I forgot about Bosh. I'd still put him ahead of AI. That makes AI the 2nd best young player in the division IMO.

Chris Bosh is the best and the best young player in the Atlantic. Saying otherwise is a crime.

You can laugh it up right now, but he is the best two way player in the division and if your talking about the best players in our division he is either 1 or 2.

Al Jefferson is playing better basketball than Curry, AI is playing better ball than everyone except maybe Chris Bosh.....

I guess having played the best ball in the entire eastern conference in the past 10 games means nothing

You guys always talk about how the proof is in the pudding, what's the record, blah, blah, blah. Well, what's Philly's record? Lot's of players shine when there's no pressure and they've become the focal point on offense at the end of the season. Let's see how this guy performs when the pressure's on cause he hasn't shown me nothing yet that I havent' seen before from lot's of yound kids.

Bosh is legitimate. Pierce is probably the still best player in the Atlantic division but you could make the argument for Bosh because of their respective seasons. Carter still ranks up there and I'd rather have Kidd than Andre.

Jefferson can't guard Curry. Curry can't guard Jefferson. Bosh can't guard Curry. Curry can't guard anyone.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

These threads are full of what’s wrong with IT, most of which I agree with, however,

Players seem to like to play for him.
Enough of the games are exciting; of course there is a difference between exciting and well played, or well coached. From Dolan’s perspective exciting will sell tix and brings up tv ratings....
This news was inevitable and everybody could have guessed it.

One question to Erniecat, it is a multi-year extension... do you still want them to tank...or are you now cheering for an extra week of our beloved bockers?

A technical, a pose, a key missed free throw, a lane violation, a game-winning shot, another pose and a hug.

"You just described Steve Francis," Thomas laughed.

Isiah isn't as crazy, smart or sly as a fox. Dolan is just as dumb as a brick.

I never said I wanted them to tank (lose on purpose). I said I wanted them to go into the tank (just lose naturally) so we can rid ourselves of Isiah.

But, it was probably only a pipe dream that someone as pathetically moronic as Dolan would see the light and understand that Isiah has batted around .048 as far as making good moves as GM.

I guess it comes down to what you say: The players love Isiah (who wouldn't love a coach who never says a bad thing about them, defends 30-point losses to horrible teams and doesn't fret much over minor details like defense).

If Dolan had wanted Isiah back as coach only, fine, I could live with it, (though I still would not love it). But as president again??? Give me a break.

Anyway, obviously I will be rooting for them, because apparently even going 0-19 the rest of the way won't get Isiah out of here.

Now I guess I'll just have to figure out what it would take to get rid of Dolan.
