Orlando's in a free fall. Indiana's in a free fall. New Jersey's not in good shape either.

Whose the ignorant person?

The one who wants any kind of change for the better, because this team is toiled in mediocrity
or
The one who thinks change will instantly lead to a worse record(not really possible with this franchise, since it's already bad)

I guess your talking to me. I'm not sure I understand what your trying to say?
I'll never trust this' team again.

I was agreeing with you. I guess it didn't come off that well.

It's funny how the same people who cry about the Knicks injuries are the same ones who take pleasure in other teams missing some of their best players.

I guess I don't exactly understand what's funny about that?

What I find it interesting how those who can't seem to enjoy any wins under Isiah or the players that are also apparently disliked find any possible way to spin things in a negative light and can predict with a level of certainty that only Nostradamus could envy what the outcome of the team will be and claim to be "objective."

I mean you really can't take yourself seriously as an objective observer when you clearly have no faith in Isiah or many of his players, even when they play better. The team has won 6 of their last 10 games, and has played over .500 ball since the Denver brawl, after a bad start, especially at home. If you're a critic it's because of "luck," other teams struggles, or how they are missing bad players...aka ZERO willingness to give Isiah or the team any credit, or at least an obvious attempt to show how they don't deserve any. Are those sometimes factors? Yes, and should be recognized as so, but they aren't necessarily THE ONLY factors, and can and have gone against the Knicks as well. Yet, if a fan suggests that the Knicks have injuries...it's then "every team in the NBA has them." See the pattern?

I will admit that I am one who wants to see the team succeed, and that makes me lack some objectivity, sure, but the sad attempt to demean anyone who or any point that supports the team as some kind of "objective" analysis is so laughable that it's almost become a parody of itself at this point. I will say that if it becomes clear that the team's future looks very bleak then I would be more than willing to suggest that the team should go in a different direction.

None of us know if the team is doomed to mediocrity for years to come at this point. That's fact. Some of us may be of the opinion that the team might play better or worse, depending upon your point of view. But the joy in loosing and expressing doubt that comes out after wins strikes me as part of why New York fans get a bad rep. When we were winning 50 games under Ewing it was still about how "we can't win a championship with Ewing" blah blah blah.

Some of us, I suspect, will NEVER be satisfied.

Good points. This team has holes, but if you cannot acknowledge that IT has brought in some good young players that can be winners, then I don't think you can seriously say your opinion about the team is objective. This team has improved every month this year and is still winning over 50% of its games without 3 of its top 6 players. Exactly how many teams in the league could lose 3 of their top 6 and still play better than .500 ball. A few could but not many, but this team is doing it and has now made it to the eight seed. Is there still work to be done? Yes, but there is hope now and we have players that we can build upon.

Indiana lost again today. Orlando is losing in the 4th quarter at Houston by 15.

We're .5 games behind Indiana and .5 games ahead of Orlando.

Don't be so quick to think this team can't get it done. We're actually fighting harder than many of the teams in the East Playoff Race. Just look at how we're playing teams without many of our best players!!! That should tell you right there that we have a HUGE shot at making it happen this year.

Isiah has done a VERY good job of getting this team to keep fighting and working to get into the playoffs. There's really no way to ignore it anymore. The guy is getting results even without key players.

I agree with everything in this post except for the word "very". at this point I think that the odds are that the knicks will make the playoffs. but in order to avoid a letdown I'm not counting on it just yet.

It's not about a letdown. This team just isn't that good yet. Especially with so many important players out. It's not like this is the Spurs or Mavs, who you'd expect to be able to play well consistently. This team is gonna have some off nights. The thing to remember is that unlike Orlando, NJ or Indy, the Knicks have stayed away from any long losing streaks. That's where the fighting attitude I mentioned comes in. They simply have stepped up in games to stave off that long losing streak, now they may not have been able to sustain it, but that steady .500 ball has allowed them to start to catch and pass these other teams who have had longer win and loss streaks.
