i don't see how that quote is dissing the NY fans... it's more of an indictment of the players on the roster if anything & a compliment to the NY fans' competitive drive to win at all costs.

Nobody says he's dissing the fans. It's just an insult that he doesn't have a roster that's worthy of us, nore does he prepare his roster.

i guess the question is he saying the fans want too much or the players dont want enough? Either way is lame for different reasons

i think he's saying the NY fan is so obsessed with winning that no matter how badly the players want it, the fans will always want it more... not sure how that should be interpreted in a bad way by the fans... the players should probably take it as an indictment of their own desire to win if anything.

LOL That's an awesome quote. He gets to take shots at both the fans and his players. Because if anybody is going to be blamed for this mess it's certainly going to be one or both of them and as sure as hell, not Isiah.

I think Isiah was being sarcastic. Quote should have read - "The fans think they want it more than the players...dumb bastards"

Its ok for Isiah to complain about fans (who pay) but not for Larry to complain about players whom lack motivation.

Isiah was not taking a shot at the fans. He was trying to compliment the fans and also tell his own team that they are not living up to expectations. But the way he said it sounds defeatist.
