Did anyone really think steph was going to hit two, seriously, he played a great game but clutch free throws is not his speciality. Utah game aside, he always goes 1 for 2

i had a bad feeling he'd miss the first & then have to purposely miss the 2nd to try & get a tip in... after he made the first i thought he was gonna hit the second one too, but it rimmed out... what're you gonna do... he's obviously not the most clutch FT shooter in the world... he's missed some other big FT's in the past as a Knick... i guess the 1 silver lining is that he's not passing up big shots down the stretch anymore like he used to do when Jamal was on the floor... step up & be accountable, & i think last night he did that at least.

He's missed other clutch free throws? But Nixluva just told us that Marbs is a documented clutch player. Who am I to believe? In all seriousness, it was a valiant effort and I certainly think it's a little unreasonable to knock him too much for that game... even though, technically, he did choke, the team wouldn't have been in the game if not for him.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Guys.... the Free throw wasn't where he choked. It was that heave with 15 seconds to go that killed us. That was the choke.

i don't think that was that bad a shot... he was on fire at that point... if he makes that shot, i'm sure no one would have had a problem w/him taking it... when you feel it, you feel it... Jamal's taken his share of shots like that & made them & won a few games for us in the process... Marbs was making big 3's all night long, so him taking that shot in that spot i can't kill him for.

That was the worst shot to take, even if he makes it you need to talk to him after the game about shot selection and giving up long rebounds. That was the worst decision you could possibly make in that circumstance. Just dribble out the clock and set up your defense. Don't take ANY long jumpers EVER. Its that simple.

Hey.. you gotta DRIVE TO THE HOLE and not launch a prayer when you're up 1 with possesion. That's basketball 101.

Exactly, that was horrible even if he was 9 for 9 prior to the shot.
Those are the plays that seperate Nash from every pg in this league.
Had lee be in the game maybe you riskit if u have a very good offensive rebounder in the area, but come on...if you drive everything is in his favor, either he gets a high pct shot, fouled, or a quick dish to the cutter. A bomb like that you either make it or ( see last nights game).

I don't think it was Kenny's fault that Marbury missed. I'm not an idiot. It is superstition. For example, if a pitcher has a perfect game going after 7 or 8 innings many ppl consider it bad luck to start talking about it and telling everyone. You just hope and pray and keep your damn mouth straight. Kenny just made me pissed for opening his mouth there. I've never heard an announcer say that the player will definitely hit a shot or anything like that. You don't hear announcers of a baseball game saying oh, pedro is definitely going to strike someone out, not a doubt in mind. It's not the end of the world or anything, but just annoying to hear. Marbury played one hell of a game though and others were much worse from the line that him.
