Every time the Knicks have lost a game, they have bounced back

The trick is to string together just two modest winning streaks to reach 40 wins. NO consecutive losses.

i'm sure Isiah's made challenges like the one you guys want to see from him to his team before & has been let down each time.

How can you be so sure? There's no indications.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

just like some of the rest of you can be sure that he hasn't challenged the team to step up at all... if you recall, he did make proclamations after the Jamal injury that he was confident the team would step up & still get the job done & play hard... they lost that game vs the Celtics after a sorry 1st half showing.

he is right that getting into a tie/half game lead for that 8th spot now doesn't mean much for the team's prospects, it's still wide open win or lose.

but has he EVER challenged this team? set a tangible goal for them? i can't think of an example...

well as for a tangible goal. Isiah did say that this team's goal is to make the playoffs this season. although I probably couldnt find the article where he said that because I just plain suck at finding articles.

If we win, I predict that Isiah will go back on his word and declare this a make or break game during the post-game interview. Then, all hell will break loose.

Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

How is that the same thing (it's not even close)? He actually gives no indications. If he's doing it behind closed doors, he's doing an excellent job of hiding it. I have to go with Occam's razor on this one, sorry. I can't just assume the best when Isiah shows the worst.

So let me get this straight. The team is on the verge of possibly taking a spot in the playoffs and somehow he hasn't been finding a way to motivate these guys? This team that has seen a lot of players go down recently, but still found a way to win games? What the heck is wrong with you people? Why can't you just accept that he's not gonna give you the juicy soundbite you want, but that when it comes to this team's performance he's STILL DOING THE JOB!!!

I will never understand some of you and your dislike for this guy. Just worry about what the team does on the floor and less about what he says to the media.

Why do you guys get so worked up over NUFFING????? If that is the way he handles the press then so be it!!! He has already said back when he got the Head coaching job on steven A show that:
He was the leader of the team
His job is taking preassure off the team and make the game fun
He would rebuild his players confidence
He would take the blame

Why you ya'll keep crying when Isiah said this in the DAMN PREDRAFT OFFSEASON!!!

They want perfect sound bites and perfect play calls.

Yet they don't have a clue what is said to the players behind closed doors.

They want it their way no matter how much the Knicks improve because David Lee is Superman and Isiah Thomas is Lex Luthor, out to kill him.

"Come to the dark side ...."

Go Knicks

Well, it's not a make or break game...

It is imperative we win, but even if we lose this one, I don't see any of the other 5 very catchable teams leaving us in the dust.

like i said. The quote is accurate - but the mentality behind SAYING it is what worries me

Here he goes again with the ADVANCED PRE-GAME LETDOWN NOTICE.

I can't stand ISAYUGH

So if Knicks win, is this point mute?

I know you're currently on MUTE and OWNED!

We are still to this day behind' those catchable teams. Unless we pass them or one of them up, then they're not so catchable. We would be quite the opposite. We would prove that we are the most losable' team, trying for the 8th spot.
I'll never trust this' team again.

“I’m not frustrated,” he said. “As I told you guys before the game, there’s a lot of basketball that’s left to be played. This game wasn’t the end-all, be-all game for us by no means.”

So essentially the season may boil down to one single game that will mathematically and irrevocably determine our playoff aspirations. That will be the end-all, be-all game for us, and the rest of the season will have been largely moot? Is that how it works?

Blueeats - nope

Thomas has gotta repair the bruised feelings and the foul taste of losing a close game, and then prepare the Knicks to play the Wizards in two days.

Life go on.

That's how it works
