Is this SupremeCommander A.K.A. SupremeAllah?

Oh no. YOu didn't go there. That's like comparing Superman to Bizzaro.

All I wanna know is, are you with me or against me?

Thanks for the primer Blue. You have no idea how bad RealGM is now. I won't waste your time explaining it. I'm sure you think you left when things hit bottom there, but--trust me--you left during the board's Golden Age... that's how bad it is now. There's a couple of guys left I like to crack jokes with on that board, but worthless basketball discussion.

I've seen it, it's woeful. But I was invited to leave the board on quite a few occasions for making suggestions on how to improve it, so I have to assume management has gotten exactly what they wanted. Congratulations to them.

It's been suggested that they are a highly commercial entity where quantities of views, clicks and posts is paramount, and quality of content stands far below those concerns. So if quality stands in the way of bunches of "IB4TL" posts, zillions of off topic threads, flame wars that result in pile-on car wrecks, etc, quality will be the first casualty and the last concern of management.

And I certainly can't say I disagree with your and TrueBlue's assessment of the modding. Personal biases and agendas are certainly permitted, if not encouraged.

But, yes, I spent the afternoon reading many of the threads here and felt like I could contribute nothing... which is an AMAZING feeling to have when you're used to trying to talk basketball with a bunch of morons. [/end rant]

It's very liberating.

They are trying to get in the Guiness or Almanac for saying that. It shows up in a ratio of 1:2 posts.

Hey there - welcome to the board - I've been around here for about 7 years - one of the most tenured consistent posters besides the mods. I dont really get into off topic convos - I used to do some scouting report stuff, draft suggestions, etc. I'm a med student - keeps me from posting here as much as I used to. Plus, there's not much to say anymore. There aren't that many trades that happen in the NBA anymore, The knicks dont really have many draft picks, the coaching is OK, the players play without effort/fire seemingly most of the time - which is really disheartening. I want the team to do well, but something is seriously missing.

I think Channing is terrible - it's quite sad. He should have some heart. He lost it somewhere along the way, maybe after Nate crashed into his knee last year. Who knows! The knicks are not in a position to win a championship anytime soon, and do not seem to be moving in the right direction at all. Furthermore, their play is maddening sometimes.

welcome to the boards
Im kinda dissed that i wasnt mentioned in the above recap, but im the strong silent type. I dont post all that much but read the board every day and absorb the good posts and exorcize the bad posts. Now its time for me to get out my garlic cloves and admonish the evil haters from this board. Again welcome to the Jungle!!!
