Did this happen in practice or during a game. Well every team has had major adversities this yr so this is no more unfair than any other team considering the amount of games he'll miss(24gms). Larry had to endure Steph missing 22gms last yr during a good stretch. ISAYUGH has to work his WEST SIDE OF CHIACGO SWAG on this team.

This is terrible. Now the apologists will have another excuse for why we're a terrible team.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

this is really bad news... Jamal is our big shot maker down the stretch & Marbury's knees aren't in great condition to have him hold up to a big scoring load for the rest of the season... Horrible, horrible news. I was at the game last night and when he hit that 3, the place exploded. Who gets the bulk of the time now at the 2? Q? Nate plays more? Collins finally gets a look?

Its not good in a sense that JC is hurt, but it is good in a sense that we are clearing some time for guys that should be playing. Lets get real, there is no point in making the playoffs this season, so get Collins, Nate and Balkman more minutes.

We don't HAVE any guys that should be playing. Let's not confuse this year with last year's benching of Frye, Lee, and Nate (when we thought all of them were good). Collins and Balkman are just players who should be in the game for a stretch when defense/hustle is needed. That's it.
Lets get real, there is no point in making the playoffs this season

Huh? Why not? Are we waiting until the team is good enough to make a run for the finals.. and only THEN can we enter the playoffs? We've got some great logic here. We'll get there by steps. And the playoffs is a great first step.

Knicks going into playoffs = good TV. And that's why I watch the Knicks.

i'm not trying to make excuses for Jamal, but i'm surprised he was able to be as effective as he's been playing w/a stress fracture in his ankle.

LOL @ some of the replies. This team loses Jamal Crawford and now all hope is gone. So is that how fragile this team is? I feel bad for Jamal and that's about it. His loss while significant shouldn't drown the ultimate success of this yr's team. There's 24gms left and if this team folds then what do we have?

Actually, the more I think of it, the more I realize it's a good idea. Isiah convinces Dolan that getting Sprewell could get us to the playoffs and even help us advance, all while the fact that he's changed. We either make the playoffs (Even though it's fools gold) or we don't make the playoffs, things don't work out with Sprewell, Dolan gets pissed about it, and fires Isiah for it. Win win!

what about giving a true PG out of the D-League a shot? it's so crazy it could work...

bad break for the team, a pity when we were looking like we could really finish strong. it will be very interesting to see how this team responds- who will run the offense aside from steph? who will feed E-city (no pun intended)? who will get the ball for the last shot? etc.
