that doesn't even make sense... i'm not even getting into this one w/you.

Marcus Williams didn't show me squat last night

i commented on Marcus Williams & you come back w/that? so it would make sense to add a PG who hasn't shown me anything to a roster full of PG's who haven't shown me anything? sure, that makes sense... go for it Isiah.

So you're judging MW on last night because he didn't show you squat, right?

That's what doesn't make sense. And you're right, if that's what you think then it's not worth getting into.

I also thought jack would have been the right selection over nate just because he was a physical defender that was a good leader.

But just as a point of reference, and of course i can bring up two guys that are rookies mind you that know what they are doing with the ball and will only get better.

You love Crawford, but he is a killer out there.....

Lowry is turning 21 years old only played 10 games so his stats are a little tough to read.....

5.6pts 3.1rbs 3.2ass (1.2tos) 1.4 stls Lowry
4.6pts 1.5rbs 2.3ass (1.4tos) 0.7 stls Crawford
7.2pts 2.2rbs 3.1ass (1.8tos) 0.5 stls Williams

Granted crawford played 50 more games (same minutes, same age), but I think you look at a kid like lowry you give him actual time our there and he is going to fill up a stat sheet and give you good defense and things that crawford or nate never will.

But Isiah dropped the ball like i believe he always does with both of these kids there for the taking i would have taken either one in a heartbeat. Lowry does things crawford never will, and since crawford has been on this team, although it may not be fair to point out

Bulls 23wins, 30wins, 21 wins 15 wins
Knicks 33wins, 23wins, and under 35 this year

I actually agree with many of the points in this thread. Our guards are not good at getting the big men the ball. We don't have passing-first guards. We have shooting guards, who are not being contained enough in their play to look for others before themselves. Our big men also have issues, because they do not fight to get open on every possession. They stand around and wait for a play to develop before moving their feet. I think with the team we have, Isiah should be calling every single play from the bench. Get the team used to frequently running certain plays, get the guards comfortable with making the right decisions in those plays, and get other players to be certain of the roles in each play. We definitely have too many guys standing around at times.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

tell me what the hell Marcus Williams has shown you this year that would have helped our current situation? i don't see it, & i've seen my fair share of Nets games this season... all i've seen is a scoring PG who hasn't shown any defensive instincts whatsoever & not particularly a great orchestrator of an offense either... he's developed a pretty solid perimeter shot, but i'm pretty damn sure even Nate Robinson & Q Rich could hit the same wide open looks if they got them dished to them by J Kidd... i'm sure MW's got talent & he's got potential to be a good passer, but he hasn't shown me any of it in NBA games... if you want to judge a player strictly by what he did in college, go look at where guys like Mike Sweetney & Frank Williams are these days... it's all a crapshoot... playing alongside Jason Kidd you'd figure he'd pick up some defensive skills & some of his on court savvy, but i just haven't seen it.

this one play said it all for me. Down by 3, we had the ball 3 times and turned it over all 3, but the play that killed me, was crawford had the ball up top, I guess the knicks were running a play for marbury to come from weak to strong side, around a double screen and get the ball. Crawford stood there dribbling saw marbury come around the screen and he didn't see kid, guess what happened. Kidd cut the lane and stole the ball. Now I saw this comming and I am sure every fan did also, but what I would have like to have seen was jamal's opponent recognition. we all knew kidd would be playing the lane, craw lazily threw that pass without seeing where the defender was, how about a fake and then marbs backdoor? It is as if these guys can't think within the framework of a team plan, they can create going one on one, but if a play is called and defended, then they are completely lost..

Great Great Great post

Seriously that is so true, i remember that one so well and i anticipated it as well.

You make a GREAT point that when we run a play and it is defended then we are HORRIBLE at making any kind of adjustment or picking an alternative. I see that clearly

tkf, GREAT POINT. I was watching this play develop and KNEW jamal would throw it to Kidd. Anyone could have seen that coming. and THAT is one of the major problems with this basketball team....they lack bball IQ. which is a sad thing if you really think about how much time they put into their craft. i mean, damn, if it put that much time into my job, i'd be president...

i agree that jamal gets eddy the ball good, but i think that is only b/c the 2 are very close and vibe well together. i dont think jamal can do that with any other knick. i haven't seen him be an effectiove passer once since being on the knicks. only guy on this team that can consistently ge the ball to the right spot for eddy (or anyone else that posts up for that matter, is Q.

Q seems to be the best on the team at this- settling down the offense, resetting to the PGs or making the pass himself. not that he's a PG, just that he's a brain out there and seems to play within the offense well even when his 3 isn't falling.

SMH.......................... I must have missed alot of games. When it comes to running the team, Q is useless.

LOL, he is with out a doubt the smallForward with the least amount of Guard skills starting in the NBA.
