I think you misunderstood my post. I never said that the other teams were the reason why we committed so many TO's. In fact I feel most of our TO's are unforced. We're just sloppy.
In regard to the Gameplanning. IF teams don't focus an extreme amount of attention on Curry he'll score at OVER 58%, which is what he's doing with teams doing everything they can to try and stop him. It's not B.S. when one guy consistently draws 2 and 3 defenders. That's warping a defensive scheme. Most coaches want to play man to man straight up and they CAN'T play us that way.
i think eddy's share of our TO's are not sloppy- they're mostly the other team taking advantage. it's something he can work on, but for now, that aspect of other teams' gameplan is successful.
i think eddy's turnovers and poor passing negate the advantage he has in drawing the second defender. it's impressive when he can beat the two guys- especially with his nice spin to the baseline for the short hookshot. but too many times he loses the ball or gets it stolen or throws it away, or gets jammed up and our offense stagnates because he can't find someone to pass to.
i'm exaggerating here, just trying to point out the many ways our eddy offense can go awry. for the most part he scores at a good clip, definitely. when he learns the things i'm talking about, he'll go from a guy putting up good stats to someone who consistently wins games for his team.
i just don't buy the gameplan thing. forcing a doubleteam is good. but good teams can be prepared, pull it off well and not get burned. forcing teams to gameplan is just that- they gameplan, and can still beat us. even shaq, the extreme upside of eddy's offense, could be gameplanned for and beaten. it's a positive and something to build on, but i don't see what's so magical about it.
