Brand still has at least 5-6 more years of superstar calibre play left in him... it would be well worth it to trade D Lee in any package to get him (obviously never going to happen, just saying)... Brand does it all... score, rebound, block shots, defend, shoot from the perimeter, leader on the floor... what more could u ask for in a PF?

as for Nash, i think if u added him to this roster, we instantly become a legitimate contender in the East... at least for a #3-4 seed over a full season... then if u can add a shotblocker/interior defender in the offseason, u would start to put together a championship calibre squad... at least 1 that we can reasonably start to think has some potential to grow into one... right now i don't see Marbury leading this team to any rings anytime soon (not saying he's been playing bad lately, cuz he's been good, but Nash is in another league & makes every one of his teammates better)

i love the fact that you think Curry is garbage but also think we can reasonably get KG for him in a trade... either Curry's garbage like u think he is, or he's a very good young player that a team like MIN would consider trading us KG for... which is it?
Garbage is an exaggeration that I don't think anyone made

On offense within five feet curry is a stud, everywhere else he is garbage, i will correct myself, but Lee is a special talent and not many of them exist in this league he is a commodity that you don't trade. If he played 40 minutes on this team which he should he would be leading the nba in rebounding you never trade that. Elton Brand is good but i don't want him for lee, I would rather trade the player that never works when he is in the game, and doesn't try on defense.....

And i posted this last week put lee on the suns he puts up 18pts 12rbs, he would make this knicks one of the better teams in the league....

I would trade him for the players you mentioned except for elton brand.....I would rather move curry and frye for a superstar if thats possible....Lee is too smart and too skilled to move

put lee on the suns he puts up 18pts 12rbs

he could do that on this team easy... they don't run plays for him to get his points... in games he's started he's put up stats like that & better... & i agree i'd rather trade Curry than Lee, but the fact remains both those kids have good value, regardless of whether or not Curry plays any D or not.

Lee is representing the HOPE of NY fans to see the Knicks (old Knicks) back in the Garden.
You cannot trade hope... And if you will... The Knicks will stuck in the same league with Atlanta-alike forever.
I would personally put an X on this organization and will probably start rooting for the team Dlee will be traded to.

He is the only one player on this team who is not delusional about himself and working on his game. And he is doing this in the gym not on the court hurting the team results.
I will not be surprised if Minny will want to trade Lee strait for Garnet. They will want only picks/youth and fast expiring junk to balance the deal.

I wouldn't say that Lee is the ONLY player that is working hard on his game. Lee is a VERY big part of this teams future IMO. We aren't in any rush to make a move yet. Let's see what happens this year and next. Our best players are just starting to get it going. Steph and Francis contracts are running down in 2 more years, so we have a natural transition point. There's no need to make any hasty moves. Let the young guys finish developing.

Reading you post makes me think that Isiah is getting 3 years extension and has a new plan for post Steph\Steve era
Do you have more detailes?

You caught me; I don't read MS's posts word for word. I would have restricted MS's description to non-low-post scoring.

>>Lee is representing the HOPE of NY fans to see the Knicks (old Knicks) back in the Garden.

Arkrud - Lee is simply a player that a lot of fans identify with. I have no problem with that. The Knicks have lacked a better than average, white baller with skills since the days of an aging Paul Westphal.

The Knicks barely missed on Kiki out of UCLA by one slot. By the time he arrived over a decade later, his game was on the downside. Chris Mullin would have been perfect but it was simpy not in the cards...

What information or hard evidence do you base your ridiculous claim that, "(Lee) is the only one player on this team who is not delusional about himself and working on his game."

It's a marketing executive's dream to have a David Lee for the girls to scream for and the guys to wanna be like.

Just for the record, David Lee and the legendary Knicks, of the late-sixties and early seventies, do not belong in the same sentance.

you want to trade the franchise (the literal franchise, not steve) to get the same KG that's never been able to get his team over the hump?

This team without the young players would be unbearable to watch.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I would def. trade Lee in the right trade.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

LOL.

Oh man, that wasn't in any of the papers earlier this week. If they trade him we'd better get an all-star back.

No. I'd rather have 14 years of Lee than 2 or 3 of KG.

If Lee ever gets injured , we will truly see how valuable he is to this franchise on the court and off of it (ticket sales).

I guess with lee out we will find out tonight.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
