good post. Lebron James said after leading his team to victory last night, that he wanted to make sure that they came out prepared to play, because a lot of teams tend to take off before the allstar game, and he wanted to be prepared to play and win this game... That is the winning mentality we seem to lack from our "better" players on this team....

If you're going to cherry pick the bad losses, then QTHD when we celebrate the victories against the good teams. Be fair.

Here are our blowout victories, most against good teams or on the road or both:

Beat Washington 102 - 82
Beat Miami @ Miami 100 - 76
Beat Boston @ Boston 101 - 77

Did anyone make any posts about how PROFESSIONAL we were?

I aint done.

Beat Chicago 103 - 92
Beat Detroit 151 - 145 (droppin a benji and a half on motown on the day after Chirstmas for you holiday observer haters)
Beat Portland @ Portland 99 - 81
Beat Seattle @ Seattle 111 - 93
Beat Miami 116 - 96
Beat Clippers 102 - 90 (we got payback)

In fact we won 4 out of 5 around Chritsmas, but this thread starter cherry picked the one loss because it fell into his formula about how unprofessional we are. Yeah. an 8 man squad really should have won all five in a row.

Well it looks like we found one of Isiah's Moles.

You do understand that there's an expectation of professionalism, right?

Right, a personal attack from a hater. How novel.

You can take any team and call them unprofessional when they are blown out.

We blew out a bunch of teams and all the angry people here said was 'its just one win'

but we lose a game and the formulaticians go out looking for a trend.

what's next? a statistical analysis of how we play on friday nights?

Actually it falls on the coach, this ******* again set the bar low and was making excuses before the game, that they might come out flat and lose the game....

The team is downright disgraceful at times especially since we have so many young players out there, we should not be getting smoked on back to backs, we have a 3-9 record or close to it on the backend, why? some nights we just don't compete

If you can dish it. You have to be able to take it. You have officially proven that you can't take it.

The difference: I dish it and then explain why.
You drive by dish your contribution and then disappear like Carmelo.

I can take anything you have to say about basketball if thats what you're here to talk about.

No matter what you explain. You don't have to lead off your post with "really dumb responses.". I'm not here to police the board. But when I see that sh!t it annoys me. It makes it more difficult to read Isles and others educating you about basketball. If you are gonna crack on people. At least make it funny. You don't even try. Are you posting from the road? Because that would be an excuse for not trying very hard.

Say it with me, "Just because you get blown out, doesn't mean you didn't show up". Sometimes the other team is just better that night. Did you see how many layups and dunks the Knicks were giving up against the warriors? It was a pathetic effort and it's pathetic that anyone would defend it.

See... I am NOT trying to crack on people. Just the stupish isht that they say. For example, some people think that they can fool you by pointing to a trend.

But ALL TEAMS lose.
Teams lose more on the ROAD.

So this guy picks 4 road games that we lost and somehow thats news?
You're sad sad fans when you look for any reason to knock the team.

I'm defending the team. All teams have games where they don't show up. If you're going to call the Knicks unprofessional, guess what, you're not going to be happy with any of the NBA product because the same thing happens to every other team.

Have fun raising potty-training your children at gunpoint for never giving full effort.

Honestly, you expect the Knicks to be perfect or else everything you say is negative. You will never ever be a happy knick fan.

By "this guy" I assume you mean Isiah since he was the one who came out before those 4 games and made the excuse that it would be a hard game for them to win because his team was looking forward to their time off.

It doesn't happen consistently with other teams the way it does this one.

That's a great analogy, comparing these adults with a bunch of potty training toddlers.

If they would rather be home or out partying instead of being professional and coming to games prepared to give the effort that it takes to win games, then maybe some of these players shouldn't be here at all.

The game before Thanksgiving against the T'Wolves - Loss 107-89

The game before Christmas against the Sixers - Loss 98-77

The game before New Years in LA against the Clippers - Loss 90-80

The game before the All Star break against the Warriors - Loss 120-101

Before each game Isiah gave some BS excuse about how he was worried about being flat. After each game Isiah gave some BS excuse about how his players might have looked past the game for one reason or another.

Then, for some unknown reason, Isiah said that the team had to forget about it and move on. Hey jackass, maybe if you didn't just give them a pass for not showing up and looking forward to family/party time they would actually have professional attitudes.

It's unfathomable the lack of accountability there is on this team (the only thing you're held accountable for in this organization is for what you say to the media) and it all falls on Isiah's shoulders.

That's a killer post. It's as if each time Isiah confesses he's assembled a disappointing crew of slackers.

And this year was supposed to be the year they all had so much motivation, so much to prove and so much at stake, and still they hardly care.

Let's see. The Knicks had 23 wins in all of last season. This year they have 23 wins at the all-star break. I see a huge improvement here. I wish it was' a issue of slacking. It's specialization here that we are lacking. We don't specialize in defense and should make that our main goal the rest of this season. I beleive some of these players have un-tapped abilities on the defensive side that no one has either found or no one can see. I'd like to know how you know that there's all of this partying going on, just before games, right after holidays? I think it's an interesting find that you found.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Isiah making the excuses has bothered me all year and continues to bother me

Perhaps your right. Maybe Zeke needs to say that we suck more often.

Don't be led like sheep. Scrutinize those games.

The Minnesota game was on the road

The Philly game was on the road
..AND the back end of a back to back
....AND our fourth game in five nights
......AND we were also playing with 8 men after the brawl

The Clippers game was on the road

The Warriors game was on the road

See a trend?

That's more of what um talk'n about. Just as I thought.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Sounds like another excuse to me. The trend is this: We get blown out against bad teams too often, and always when it's the final game before some sort of holiday/break. And, the most disturbing part of this trend: The coach accepts it and makes excuses for it.

I will say though, I do' worry when we get five nights off and then we have to go out and pick up were we left off or I do get worried when we do have to play like 5 game in one week. It can take a lot out of you, especially when your not as 'professional' as a Nash, Kobe, or Anthony led team.
I'll never trust this' team again.

You talk about road games like that's an excuse for not showing up with no effort given.

The Minny (3-6 at the time) game was after a day off.

The Sixers (6-19) game was after a good win against Chicago.

The Clippers (13-16) game was after a day off.

The Warriors (24-29) game was after a good win against the Lakers.

Not that there's ever an excuse to not be prepared and to not give an honest effort.

I think the point he's trying to make is, this team, in the last two seasons now, when they get into a groove, they seem to bring game more often and when a little wrench is thrown into they're groov, they are a little sensative and it's hard for them to keep it flowing, if that makes any sense. I know it's a bad excuse, but hey' we don't exactly have a top tier team either, do we? Still in development and that's the way it goes.
I'll never trust this' team again.
