Hardaway talks like a jerk and acts like a jerk, and probably is a jerk, but maaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I would love him to be on the Knicks right about now cause he was a ball player and a half.

Well I carry a lot of extra weight on myself that I'd prefer my 23 year old franchise player with a heart condition not carrying on himself. And Marbury is a far greater "winner at life" than me, but I still prefer a truer leader for our team. Those things may make me a hypocrite, but not necessarily a bigot.

What also of the many black comedians who make jokes about white folk, - about how they talk in a nerdy voice, and walk around with sticks up their butts, and that they hate black folks? People of all colors seems to eat that humor up, myself included, but should we assume all such jokes can only be told by those with racial hatred in their hearts?

when my parenty were growing up it was the "norm" for blacks to ride in the back of the bus. Sometimes change is good no? People are just people. Cultures have clashes since written history because one is convinced the other is a 'perversion.'

Kinda nice thing about America... your allowed to be true to your own culture and lifestyle so long as you dont infringe on the rights of others.

Not every variant from the norm is a PERVERSION. That's a highly subjective term.

And while culture may be able to play a role in what some persons experiment with, I don't think you need to fear it converting populations en masse. I suspect most who are gay are so because they just are, innately - NOT because they succumb to outter forces.

Ours isn't the first liberal culture. I'm thinking of the ancient Greeks and Romans, who's cultures were possibly more sexually tolerant than ours. They were also quite powerful, affluent, creative and inventive, and I'd be very surprised if their eventual downfall had anything to do with homosexuality. If anything I'd rather suspect it gave cause to their earlier rise and attainment of power.

eny... its a terrible reference. This country's treatment of blacks and our history there is sickening. My daughter is 6 (first grade) and I asked her if she knew why she was off on MLK day. She knew about the "I have a dream" speech, etc but didnt really know. So we talked about MLK and Rosa parks and what it must have felt like to be treated that way, how hurtfull it must have been and how much courage it took from people to break free from it.

Your right.. its not a fair reference because gays are allowed to use the same beaches, bathrooms, drinking fountains, etc.

But bigotry is always wrong, and I think thats the message. I have serious issues with the way certain gays conduct themselves. I dont like it, and I wouldnt want my kids exposed to that kind of behavior. But thats not because they are gay, and there is the difference.

Now I'm not saying Amechie is the Rosa Parks of the gay community. PLEASE dont think that for a minute. He's obviously got his own agendas.

Being a born again christian. I can't support people being gay. You shouldn't hate anyone though. Truthfully I wouldn't WANT to be around anyone whos gay. But if I was, (and I am at work since I have a few gay co workers) I wouldn't and don't treat them any differently. Though it would/is allways be in the back of my mind that there gay.

Being gay goes against Gods will. Being black doesn't go against Gods will. But it isn't my job to judge people only God has that right. I hope people being gay doesn't become the *norm*. But I also don't want people being treated unfairly because there gay.

The gay trait has a significant genetic component. It must be confusing for gays and heterosexuals alike for God to be going against his own will like that.

That whole Gods will stuff is loaded. People have twisted that like a mofo.

Is its Gods will for people to be born retarded or with other deformities? Is is Gods will that I complain that I can't afford a car yet there are people out there that can't afford to think let alone feed themselves.

Anyway its good that you are who you are. Don't use God as an excuse though. There are some people out there that are really women trapped in mens bodies. You vs n look at them and see that their chemicals are not normal. To go further than that, people are born all the time with both sexual organs! Look that up stat guys, lol.

Anyway, God is the man. I dunno if he is gay or not but that would be funny as hell. In all seriousness, I'm sure God wants is all to be happy. God wants us to be good to ourselves and each other. Its all about respect. Believe in what you believe but don't be afraid to find out what's on the other side of the coin. I'm not saying go out there and get a male prostitute, lol. I'm just saying, its all about respect of all things. If its different, get educated and be open minded. You can still hold on to your beliefs.
