Ugh if I were asked to start a team with either a bruising center or a wing player I take the center. Why? Because centers shoot a higher percentage and get the other teams frontcourt players into foul trouble. Foul trouble then leads to open lanes on the offensive end. Also, when you have a center you can throw the ball into, with a high shooting percentage it opens up the floor allowing cutting and open shots when opposing clubs double team. Thats simple basketball, do you really want to play the numbers game with this?

Eddy Curry is way more valuable than Joe Johnson. So unless Joe Johnson takes off a mask and is in fact Michael Jordan then yes I would have selected Eddy Curry.

Curry FG% = 58.4 FGA = 12.8

Johnson's FG% = 46 FGA = 20

he takes more shots, if he was scoring less than Curry, it would be criminal.

where did I say Curry was better than Joe Johnson? they do different things. I have no problem with Joe Johnson making the allstar team. we could use a guy like him to compliment Curry.

I was merely pointing out that looking at scoring only is a odd way of comparing players. Curry is pretty efficient.


also, jordan shot like 53% most years, over 50% for his career.

EY Curry in his last 359min of play he has 54reb the span of 10gms. That's a 6.6reb avg. He has 4blks, 1stl, 9ast in that same span. Team record in that span 5-5

Joe Johnson in his last 381min of play he has 45reb the span of 9gms. That's a 5reb avg. He has 2blks, 3stls, 47ast in that same span. Team record 5-4. They both appear to be shotty defenders but Joe rebounds almost as well as Curry during this span.

Since Joe is outscoring Curry by a considerable margin although FGA aren't exactly fair when comparing the 2 and he shoots 39% from the arc, you have to go with Joe.

Thats great. Now do it with the last 9-10gm stats thrown back in please.

You misread, he was showing their recent stats. Those were the stats he showed. Would you rather compare season stats? Either way Curry gets creamed. This is no contest. Like I said, 20 other players in the east were more deserving than a fat center who doesn't play defense so he doesn't risk fouling out. Sorry.

wow, you talk about Curry like he's some scrub player that can't sniff Joe Johnson's shoe laces in terms of talent... the guy's been averaging over 25 ppg for this team the past few weeks... yes, Curry doesn't play defense & he can stand to lose some weight, but the fact remains he's 1 of the top C's in the Eastern Conference & deserves to be in the Allstar discussion at the very least... who are those 20 other players that deserve Allstar consideration over Curry for that last spot btw? just curious.
