he still turned the ball over a ton and made some horrible decisions
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Francis has looked like a nice asset now that he has 1.5 legs under him.

The key to that trade is Francis' health. If he can play like the real Steve Francis, he can be a real asset to the team albeit a way overpriced one. If he is the peg-leg Francis, he only hurts the team.

I like the way he played tonight for the most part. He took a couple of dumb shots, but he made some real nice plays too, including passing and on defense, and he really can put the defense on its heels with his penetration ability.

Well I guess that's what happens when you have no friends. I'm sure that's not the only thing he's forced to do by himself because nobody else would.

Ok, this is where you go google more doggie pics.

If anything... Francis is generally more creative than Marbury, but his creativity often adds up to a more turnovers. I think his teammates appreciate his attempts to get them the ball, though.

Awesome game by Francis - this kind of made up for the game Rashard Lewis stole from us.

In the irony of ironies, Larry seemingly was best suited to the GM of the Knicks and Isiah is seemingly best suited to be the coach of the Knicks.

Francis is straight up selfish. This dude aint hurt. He is just pissed he can't get his way. He is an awesome player. He still over dribbles and he neglects to make the pass to the open man so he can score.

Sigh...

That technical was freakin stupid. Is it about Steve or the team?

One play that pissed me off maybe a little more than the tech was that play where he got the ball on the fast break and had balkman ahead of him francis ignored him and just layed it up in balkmana face. Francis should have thrown the alley oop. That would have killed the crowd and pumped up the team. Its a little play but its huge as far as the team goes. It gets balkman a monster dunk and makes him better. I was so freakin mad about that. I wanted to rip my balls off.

That 3 pointer cured it all, but this guy francis is a prick. I wish he wasn't. I think he is better than craw and I think marbs and francis could be deadly especially for curry and frye. I hope they can bond together and stay together but this is all on francis. He needs to bring it and I hope isiah is in his head about being a better teamate and decision maker.

Go knicks.

Eny, I agree that Francis has selfish tendencies. I'll never forget how Yao would be waiting for the rock while Francis dribbled between his legs.

But I don't agree that he was faking injury:

First, we all saw him sprain his ankle badly earlier in the season.

Second, he loves to dunk. I don't think he would not dunk for anybody. He was catching spasms on the rim earlier in the season and he was not driving the hole the same way. He's not that good of an actor.

Third, who was he faking to? Us? Isiah? Dolan? Isiah wouldn't take that from Francis. We all know that Isiah will cut off anyone's balls who is disloyal to him. Dolan would dismiss him and eat his contract.

***

Not to mention he came back during the suspensions and he looked one-legged. One thing I have to give him is he has always shown heart, all the way back to college.

So I think that Francis rehab was helpful, and that he will have good days and bad days because tendinitis is an inflammation problem and it can flare up and subside. The only way to treat it is ice, rest(No practices probably), strengthening, anti-inflammatories and luck.

I can't read francis. Remember last year when he cried in front on the media saying he was embarrassed, about his play and his teams play, etc? as far as this season he has been quoted a lot complaining about minutes.

This is a dude that refused to play for the grizz and forced a trade to Houston before he was even signed as a rookie. I think francis wants to be the starter regardless. He is pissed that isiah took him out of the line-up and didn't immediately out him back when he came back. Francis' skill is wicked and when he is on he is on just like he proved against Atlanta and wash. Its freakin awesome to see. Can francis just play? He still gets up in the air with explosion. What's all this tendonitis? Dude was gonna shut it down just last week.

Ah!

It sucks but I'm glad he seems to have awakened. I wanna see Francise again. Starbury is back. Franbury is the key to the here and now. Both players playing well is the key to getting better. Right now craw is the guy good, cheap and young enough to trade.

I just want to out the team in francis hands. He needs some burden. Everyone wants to kill marbs and curry but francis and channing are the real reason the knicks serent a lock for the playoffs. Channing is a bitch and francis is a crybaby. If these two guys would play the way they should the knicks would be at least 3Rd seed. Not just cuz the win the east division but because they actualt have the 3Rd best record in the conference.

meh. it's going to take a lot more than this for Francis to win me over. maybe if he tries for like a month. in a row.

Yup! It's only one game, one game winning shot. Compared to the dissapearing act on the season, it's peanuts. I go by the 'what have you done for me lately' overall stats on the season, maybe even in a guys career and if you want to know what the near future is, you can almost answer it by what he's done consistenly and inconsistently. With the exception of Lee and maybe Crawford, I'm not very convinced by the rest of these guys.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Hopefully he plays great for the rest of the season so that we can trade him for a need. We need to get above this mediocrity level that we have sunk to since 2000.
I just hope that people will like me

I need another shot of whiskey because I am going to agree with oohah. Francis isnt a cancer on this team, and he is trying to do what the coaches ask. If he can gives us 15 minutes a game I will be happy. I would much rather have him on the floor than Nate.

I will agree that I like Francis's attitude because he has not been a cancer. His game however leaves a lot to be desired. He is supposed to be a PG and yet he has the most undisciplined style of play I have ever seen. His one-on-one stuff has to stop and he needs to play team-oriented basketball. Then I will like him.

Francis is less disciplined than Crawford? Seriously? And how about Robinson?

Robinson is a 2nd year player, Francis has been in the league for 8 or 9 years. So Robinson at least has an excuse. When compared to Crawford, they are close in their level of undiscipline, but at least Crawford has a decent ability to pass and create offense for others. Francis has made some nice passes but for the most part he does not really create any offense for anyone else and is a blackhole when he gets the ball. From a player that is supposed to be a PG, his game is nowhere near what it should be. He has the potential to be a great player, even hurt as he is now, but he needs to learn how to play team-oriented basketball and stay within the offensive game plan.

I would say they are both equally undisciplned, but in different ways. Crawford takes way too many bad shots, and Francis dribbles way too much, right into 3 defenders waiting to take a charge or steal the ball. At least Crawford, as thegame said, has some passing skills, even though he turns the ball over doing that too.

Thank God Marbury has been playing team ball and smart ball...
