we lost that game because crawford got frustrated and francis was getting his legs back under him.

Man, I almost forgot about Francis giving up that wide open layup for no reason in crunch time. What a joke that was.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Francis did look good at some other points. But did anyone notice that when he got the ball, it seemed like the movement on offense just stopped. He needs to learn how to get his scoring within the offensive scheme. That being said, I think he is a definite upgrade over Nate.

this summed it up...

http://knicks.lohudblogs.com/2007/02/11/what-do-you-say/

It’s the first time I’ve ever seen Isiah Thomas absolutely speechless. And if the league could fine a coach for what he was thinking, I guarantee we’d be talking six figures.

Did you catch the post-game remarks on MSG?

“This is going to be real quick fellows,” he said. “I have absolutely no comment on tonight’s game.”

Ron Garreston, Phil Robinson and Leon Wood are going to be downloading replays and comments from the home office today. And while they might have missed an important call down the stretch, they didn’t commit any of the nine turnovers in the fourth quarter that ultimately did the Knicks in.

From the replays, I think Jamal Crawford was fouled hard enough for a whistle to sound. Even on the road. From the replays, I don’t think David Lee needed to react with anything more than a hopeful backward glance.

Maybe we need to address the importance of reputation.

The officials know Crawford to be impulsive. He was throwing up a desperation shot. Derek Fisher is considered a crafty veteran. He was playing aggressive defense.

Guess who gets the call?

The officials know Lee to be vociferous after whistles. He sometimes lobbies a little too hard for a guy who doesn’t even have two full seasons of NBA experience.

What happens when somebody like that jumps up and down yelling?

It doesn't matter how many tunover a team has that is none of the refs business. but it is the refs duty to call a foul when there is a foul. On several occations the refs blew the calls especially on the Knicks side. Crawford was fouled hard by Fisher and it should have been called a foul is a foul even at the end of regualtion. This was an example of the refs being cowards and letting a environment determine the outcome of the game. This is the trend of the NBA that is very disturbing.

yeah, francis and crawford seemed to have some difficulties forcing things down the stretch...I'm gonna watch it again just to torcher myself.

There was a reason isiah said only "no comment" afterwards.

My problem is that the same thing happen in Indiana when Steph was on the bench...How many times does it need to happen before Isiah realizes that Marbury should be running the team down the stretch because these guys are prone to turnovers at critical times...

I think Frye will be moved by the start of next season.
Oh man, I hope its not Isiah that makes the deal cause he doesn't have the credibility/good will to get that much back for Frye. A 6'11 PF that can score should bring us atleast a TJ Ford type back. I don't think Isiah can pull that off. I'm not one of those that things Isiah is the devil but I don't have faith in his trades. I dunno why because he isn't that terrible with trades.

babyKnicks: Yeah, its a pain watching them lose. I guess you and Masterplan knew exactly what was coming. I need to do what martin does with his DVR.

Isiah could have gotten more than TJ Ford for Frye last year. This year, he won't be able to get even close to that. Frye is viewed right now as a *below* average 1st round pick. (That's why he wasn't in the 12 out of 30 who were selected for the AS game.)

If we move Frye, it better be for a power forward...If we learnded anything last night is that Lee cannot defend the PF position...I'm really not sure why people think he is such a good fit next to Curry...

Of course Frye can net more then TJ ford. Frye is a 7footer that can shoot, they always have value. Hell Kwame Brown and Darko Still have value and niether have even had as good a season as Fryes Rookie year. Don't confuse what you think of Frye of what Teams GM believe they can do with Frye. PFFF!!!

IT's because he is a good player. Why are trying to steady trying to knock Lee???? Boozers been out for four games, do you know who also couldn't guard Okur and what teams he didn't OT to hit 29 points against???? Lee has the makings of a 15 and 15 player, that's why.

I have to admit to watching the game with just one eye yesterday while working, so my recall isn't great, but wasn't Steph responsible for a few mishaps that contributed to us squandering the lead? I'm usually pro Steph's late game penetrations, but yesterday I recall two or three that were really out of character for him; they were what I'd consider forces. His signature is the right-middle penetration but here he was attacking from off-angles on the left and sorta throwing the up from too far out. Steph is good at finishing close, but these were more like floaters, which really isn't his game. And then he had it taken away at the top of the key, or, I think, dribbled it off his foot.

So I think he got pulled precisely because his late game execution was poor.
