This is a tough one man. I think its hard to say the overall course is satisfactory. If you think about baby steps, this team looks like its improving. If you are thinking championship, blow it up and start from scratch every single year until you find your own Lebron.

This surprised me. I honestly thought you were thrilled to be building around Eddy rather than blowing it up and doing a real rebuild.

It surprised me equally. Maybe Silver is sane afterall.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The overall course is ok, for what we have now and the limited time they've been together as a team, it's not so bad. They need time to develop and get familiar with each other.....the two to three years ( I don't count last year) that most of us aren't patient enough to see through. Most good teams take anywhere from 2 to 5 years to become that good team.

What doesn't surprise me is that both of you can take something about basketball and turn it into something personal. Oh yea, lets take a shot at him that kinda looks like its good natured because he said something I cannot flame him with. And then add a There, I am a quick learner.

I don't think either of us meant anything personal. You seem overly sensitive because you gave this kind of response too when I asked a simple basketball question.

franco - If Lebron is a superstar, where are the Cavs?

I don't pick the Lakers with SuperKobe over the Suns with no Superstar.

No, Nash is NOT a Superstar. Excellent at what he does. But not Super by himself. He relys on plenty of help. Plenty.

I don't know why I'm indulging you, but are you saying that the two-time consecutive NBA MVP isn't a superstar? Otay.

Wilt was a Superstar who required a long time to become a champion

So was Oscar

So was Jerry West

Why was that?

We're talking about (your) perception now. The Suns have a better supporting cast, but let's give Nash credit where credit is due.

Bump Nash

He is NOT a SuperStar

Excellent point guard with an amazing supporting cast

What was this amazing supporting cast last year when he won his 2nd MVP? Marion? Ok, very good player but not a superstar. Who else? A bunch of players that were better only because Nash made them better. That makes Nash a superstar.

And Manning was the MVP. He has the car and trophy to prove it.

The threat of him throwing prevented the Bears safeties from playing in the box to support the run which opened things up for the Colts RB's.

If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Post like these causes one to lose credibility and can't be taken seriously.

He is the best player for that type of team and they wouldn't be that good without him. If you think that Marion is not a super star you have no idea what your talking about he gets double figure rebounds, blks shots, gets steals, and averages 19+. If thats not a superstar i don't know what is. The suns have an incredible group of players.

Amare is one of the best bigs in the game and Barbosa is awesome. Without Nash they would probably not be as loose and selfless, thats what makes him a superstar.

You can see how much better the knicks play when they share, something they rarely do. If you put Nash on the Knicks we would have a winning record period, no questions asked.
