Are you completely frustrated with the "haters" on this board? Just wondering, because I do notice some posters posting undue agression at any dissenting opinion of the Knicks. The only reason that I can see is that they're purely frustrated with any non-positive opinion. Please enlighten me.
No, they're right. I wish they'd speak up even more!
Please have them shut up. Are they even fans?
I don't care either way. I like to hear both sides of the argument.

So Kam here's my point again. If you like the froncourt more than other positions, some would say that's valid and applaud you for your optimism. But if someone were to say they are not as confident in the frontcourts ability to grow and want to target someone else that may help more in the long run, their opinion makes them a hater.

That stuff is silly to me.

Yes, but don't parents see their own kids in a more critical light than the kids of others? That grass isn't always greener, going back to my plant analogy. I like our frontcourt in general more than i like the other positions. Were tops in rebounds. We just lack shotblocking at the moment unless JJ1 emerges as a force outta nowhere.

your comparison of parents and kids goes on the assumption that these are responsible parents.

All Ive asked for in 3 years is a plan. Isiah has never shown for one minute he's got one. Each move is made in a vacuum. He's turned over the roster twice in 2 years. He's brought guys in then sent them out. He's hired 2 HOF coaches and fired them after a year. He's overpaid veterans, then overpaid for picks. Most of his moves have been win now type moves. He's added some young guys, but hasnt come close to commiting to rebuilding. One year he brings in guys just because they expire in a certain year. Then he waives them rather than use them to make $$ deals costing the franchise millions. The guy is just all over the place. The losing culture is still here. There isnt accounablilty to be in shape or not make stupid plays on the court. We have no cap space, we owe first rounders and we have no franchise player. The good players that we do have dont compliment each other in any way shape or form. We are laughed at nationally, and dont even have one televised game.

Aside from that I think Isiah's been pretty good and with a little time this team will rally and make a nice run.

I disagree. Marbs hasn't been criticized much this year. I think he has gotten far less criticism than anyone and has actually been given plenty of props. And I think the people that target Isiah(outside of Isles who is actually funny if you don't take him so seriously) usually target him as a comment that is part of their critique/analysis of the game the night before. If the team has the same problems game after game you will probably here the same complaints game after game.

I've seen guys get unfair treatment(Patrick, Allan and Marbs last year), but I don't think anyone has taken too many unfair shots this year. Curry gets it more than anyone, but when guys say he doesn't play d or rebound, can you really disagree. The players here get a fair shake more than any city on the planet. Perform and you will be forgiven and applauded.

Some people just feel like they constantly have to defend the players like they are someone's younger sister.

I think we really tend to over-react to any non ultra positive post without thinking about the actual point that is being made. I compare it to defending one's girlfriend/boyfriend/gay lover/wife/child.

If you are walking down the street and some guy starts berating your wife, your first reaction is to defend her. You're not really hearing the guy say that your wife stabbed him last night for no reason. All you hear is is him berating your wife. YOu don't care about anything else. His reason for the berating could be legit, but you saw an "attack". Instead of processing the words and discussing his beef. You immediately respond by defending your wife and kicking the crap out of the other guy.

Same thing goes on this site. Some fans become so attached to the players that they become their girlfriend/boyfriend/gay lover/wives. So when someone goes after Curry's rebounding instead of listening to the words and discussing the topic, these fans immediately come to the aid of this damsel in distress and "attack".

Bippity,

Fair enough points you make. I would just add that its obvious Curry, like everyone else, has flaws. We get treated to multiple posts a day usually about Curry's lack of this, lack of that. Its known he is a poor defender/rebounder. Its known that shedding some weight, jumping more would help both his rebouding and his defense.

What is relatively novel is his scoring dominance on a CONSISTENT basis and the fact that the team is .500 or better when Curry gets his 20-25 points.

If Curry gets 2 rebounds or 9 rebounds, it doesn't seem to affect the W-L record as much as it does when he scores. Why? Becuase on the whole we are a good rebounding team.

So yes, he should defend better.. but to see all the posts saying he is PURE GARBAGE (as some have said) is where I see the "haters" (some of them) have gone too far.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

See I agree with you on this post. I think this is 100% true. My only frustration is that this creates such an uproar that you can't make a comment abou tCurry ever. So if I don't take part in any "anti-Curry" post for 2 months. But then watch Curry not box out in the loss to the Nets and comment on it, I am labelled a Curry hater that wants to blow up the team. Then a week later I have to watch some mythical poster, we will call him "Babyoohfresh" saying in a post that I am not involved in that I want to kill all the players starting with Curry. That I find annoying.

But there is a great way to ignore the constant negative posts. Realize that when you read another trade Curry post, realize that you have responded to that post, ignore it and move on. I normally just let those people discuss it if I'm not interested and move on.

For the record, I like Curry, I love his potential. But the man needs to get out of the kitchen and do some rebounding drills.

I think if we are the number one rebounding team in the league and can get even better and become a dominant one of Curry gets off his asse, I think we should be demanding that. NOt settling.
