Tanking when there is a reasonable expectation of getting a franchise guy.. i can abide.
I can't abide tanking to satisfy an impatient fickl[e] fan base. Feel free to stop watching the Knicks if you can't take it anymore.

I agree, we should not tank to satisfy the fans.
Rather, we should tank to guarantee Isiah does not return to this team after this season. We simply cannot move forward as long as he is here.
Dolan may be the underlying problem, but he is not going anywhere. That is a fact. Isiah, on the other hand, could be gone if we lose enough games. That is also a fact.
That's my exact reason. For Isiah to go, and that itself will result in satisfying the fans. He needs to leave for several reasons, as a GM and as a head coach.
As a GM, it's clearly obvious he's had numerous opportunities to turn the franchise around, and I'm not going to get into the details and the MLE's because we've already hammered them to death.
As a coach, his lineups are far more consistent that LB's, however they are still flawed. Once again, I'm not going to get into the David Lee coming off the bench issue, as that's been beaten badly also. His use of timeouts has cost us some opportunities to win close games, and he has the wrong players in at the wrong time. There's no doubt in my mind Malik Rose should've replaced Curry to get the final rebound of the game by controlling the paint against the better team, New jersey. There's no doubt the young, athletic, and eagar Renaldo should've been guarding Gerald Wallace in the terrible Bobcat loss. If there's one man on our roster who should be targetting the opposing team's best scorer (provided they play the 2 or 3), its Balkman.
Any objections ?
