IMHO the biggest issues are the turnovers and lack of defense. I believe we lead the league (or are near the top) in turnovers and for a team that is transforming itself into half-court team, that ain't good. The free throws hurt and IT is obviously focusing on that because it is something that presumably can be fixed but he would be better served focusing on the turnovers and the overall team defense, which I think are greater problems.

LOL @ the notion the game had no flow with the final score being 107-105. Let's say he's right about this, well players like Eddy, Jeffries, Marbury, Richardson are all below where they should be

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/teams/stats?team=nyk&sort=ft%&avg=pg&order=true&season=2&seasonYear=2007&split=0

Those players have been the most coddled on the team, until of late Jeffries losing major ground in support. See what happens when you don't ocassionally publicly call out players for shortcomings and allow them to be who they are?

We sure could use Steve Franics right now couldn't we?

If you will cobine all runkings together it will be about 22-23 in the NBA.
This is where we are now in the standings.

I don't understand how you can lump Q with Eddy, Marbury and Jefferies.

What do you mean?

I didn't see the game so if I misinterpreted and you were just talking about last night's game then this is moot. But from the way you worded it you made it sound like Q ranks up there with Marbury, Curry, and Jefferies in being coddled throughout the season.

I hardly thing that is even close to accurate. Q is performing pretty close to his career stats (he is exceeding points and rebounds), his shooting percentages are lower, but some of stuff is pretty dead on. With Q's back issues and the fact he has missed only 14 of the first 47 games is a blessing.

I view whatever Q gives us a sort of a bonus, but then again, as much as I like Q, my expectations were always hampered because of his injury.

He's coddled him in the sense he's made him out to be some kind of a savior when he was injured. I lumped him in there but wasn't necessarily applying it's full meaning to him vs the others.

I never heard him refer to Richardson in that way.

Maybe he wasn't complaining about us not making free throws, but the other teams weren't missing enough free throws for us to win. I think that is what he is saying.

dude, it's easy. When you are ready to re-up the season ticket plan, just ask someone to kick you in the ball. You will be reminded how painful it is to watch the Knicks for a season in 1 quick go and maybe you won't actually buy the tickets. You save lots of $$$. You get the pain without the money loss. Got to Scores and spend half the dough you saved and have a entertainer massage your blue'ed balls. You still have saved half your money and just got something rewarding.

How about 28th in the league in steals, 27th in blocks, 4th worst in PFs, 3rd worst in TOs, 25th in asts, meanwhile we're 6th worst in blocks for opponents, and we give up the 7th most points in the league.

I guess it must be the free throws.

No sure you can say it's not a problem because we get more attempts. Free throws cost possesions too. Plus if we could make more of them we would turn a neutral or negative into an advanage and with our D the way it is we need an edge.

Did you just call Isiah Thomas a hobo?

Yes here's why although he's correct in being disappointed in FT% he has to look at the context of the statistical area.

The team is ranked 26th in the league in FT%

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/statistics?stat=teamstatoff&sort=ft%&league=nba&season=2007&seasontype=2&avg=pg&order=true&split=0

The team is ranked 4th in FTA

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/statistics?stat=teamstatoff&sort=fta&league=nba&season=2007&seasontype=2&avg=pg&order=true&split=0

The team is ranked 8th in FTM

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/statistics?stat=teamstatoff&sort=ftm&league=nba&season=2007&seasontype=2&avg=pg&order=true&split=0

So they go to the line almost 5-6more times/gm than half the league and make 2 more FT than almost half the league. Basically they cancel out the negative in % by FTA and FTM.

I wonder if Zeke is lacking a stat man because he's definitely lacking a PR guy.

Why is Zeke talking about FTs in Bucks loss?
