Making excuses are as bad as someone saying: I want Curry off this team.

While I agree with you, one's an opinion and one's an excuse. I don't like excuses.

I look at it like this: Under Isiah/Aguirre or whomever, Curry has been transformed into one of the best low post centers in the NBA in less than a season.

He tuned 24 in December. The idea that he can't improve his defense and rebounding, and we should just "get him off the team," is absurd, imo.

Idon't know how you guys follow a team and focus so much on a handfull of players. Be diverse, hate half the team. Switch it up alittle.

Let's just focus on scoring because it's obvious Eddy hasn't improved elsewhere. What's more impressive (or is it about even):
16.1 PPG in 28.7 mpg with 2.6 TOs on a 47 win team OR
19.4 PPG in 34.1 mpg with 3.3 TOs on a team on pace for 34 wins

I want Curry off this team.

I said this in a different thread, but how much impact to guys like Lee, Q, Nate, Balkman, who are all above average rebounders for their respective position, have on Curry's rebounding numbers. There are only so many rebounds to go around. I am not saying that Curry is a good rebounder, he obviously is not, but if he were surrounded by only average rebounders, would the number of rebounds that he personally pulled down increase. Lee has to have some impact on Curry the same way Curry has an impact on Lee. Alot of the double teams Curry draws is what gets Lee open to get some of his offensive rebounds. I believe we still lead the league in rebounding, so Curry's rebounding numbers are not the big issue for him. I am more concerned with his individual and help defense.

They dont double with Lee man ever. David was getting face guarded by the Bucks and still was getting rebounds.

It's much harder to become a running team if your big man(C) isn't the one getting the rebounds. Curry should be starting fast breaks not every once in a while strictly finishing them. Very rarely do Crawford, Marbury, or Q get transition buckets outside of them doing it on their own ability. Going with the notion that our other players are taking up the rebounding responsibility have you ever noticed what Curry does when the other teammates are rebounding? He stands there and watches. Why not just run down court after every for sure missed shot-to-rebound and stand right under the hoop.

Actually this thread is a continuation of an existing thread. I just changed the title. We all know what this board would look like if Curry had back-to-back-to-back 30pt gms and TUBLEWEEDS STATS in other categories.

So Curry personally is killin' the knicks? Not any of the other dudes? Stop focusing on Curry. Everyone agrees on his flaws, but I don't agree that they are what is doing us in. Jamal Crawfords defense is just as responsible as EDDYS CURRYS for losses. ALSO- What team would trade for a heart risk? Anyone?? WHY?

I never said Curry is personally killin' the Knicks. just interior D and pick-n'roll D in that last post. Oh yeah, our perimeter D sucks too.

Funny. I tend to think its the opposite. Every day there are five threads about how Curry sux, should be traded, etc. Check the posts. They are overwhelmingly negative. The topic starters post Curry threads to bash curry. If there are a couple of retribution 'Curry is Good' threads, those quickly get trashed as well. There's never been this much hate over a Knick.

it's like this man, the Knicks stink. These are boards and everyone wants to gripe. People have a tendency to want to talk about things with a pessimistic slant (not just the Knicks).

Well some people like him and some people don't. Some think he is great and many think he helps no where but scoring. I think it's fair for all people to hold any opinion. If your opinion happens to be in the minority. Deal with it.

If the Knicks hadn't sucked for the last 7 years and hadn't been so terribly mismanaged over that period of time as well, people would be much more willing to accept the shortcomings of players. Eddy was a major move made by this franchise and it's great that he's giving the team some outstanding low-post scoring, the fact that he is below-average in ALL other aspects of his game causes many fans to gripe. It's been 7 years of mismanagement(you can see 35 years if you want) and even now we're still 8 games under .500 with the highest payroll in the NBA. Fans have legitimate gripes.

I'm just saying there's more Curry bashing than Curry support here.

Martin is right. Some folks are upset that their team stinks so they respond by being negative.
