No he would improve and the guys that dont play hard or put up numbers rot on the bench. If he could still average a double-double and shoot 60% fron the field then a cape is fine with me.

Swish not going to get in a pissing contest, when Steph and JC are at the top of the key they ask for a drag screen and Lee is the ones that provides it.

You can watch when players play basketball who has a high basketball IQ and it's extremely easy to tell who doesn't have a high basketball IQ.

Examples of high basketball IQ:
-smart passes
-smart shots
-passing up a harder shot for an easier shot
-boxing out your man
-good rotations defensively
-knowing how to set screens for each player on your team
-knowing where each player on your team likes to receive passes

the examples are endless.

I think Lee Combines good IQ with GREAT instincts and reaction time. Balkman has some of those instincts but not all of the BB IQ that Lee has at this point. Some guys look like they always know what the other team is doing a step ahead. Then you have a guy like Curry who doesn't have any of those abilities naturally, but he's blessed with FREAKISH agility and quickness for a guy that HUGE! Like Shaq he shouldn't be able to move like he does. However he doesn't have a hi BB IQ from what i've seen.

A player can still be effective without the x's and o's type of understanding of the game, if he has great feel for the game and instincts. You can also develop a great feel for the game thru years of playing and seeing situations so that you recognize what's happening, even without the intellectual aspect of knowing what's going on. Guys like Nash and Kidd would be on the highest levels of BB IQ while not being freakishly athletic. I'd put a guy like Wade, VC or TMac over on the more Naturally Instinctive side. They know the game well enough, but mostly what they do is an instinctive style of play.

It's not like anyone here actually coached any of these guys... Only someone who has coached one of these dudes would be a reliable source on the BBIQ of a player.

Tell me about Frye and the good things he is doing.

Can I jump in Martin?

Below are Frye's last ten games. We have current posts saying he is "lost" on offense. Can we just watch the players without wanting one to do bad so the other gets more time?

I spy in Frye's last ten games an 80% shooting game, a 75%, a 72.7%, a 63.6%, and 2 50% shooting games. Not bad for a guy who is being played as a perimeter shooter.

The rest of you guys:

I see people saying that Hol loves Frye and hates Lee. Typical nonsense. The point Holfresh has been trying to make for a while now is that as good as Lee is, he isn't Jesus. And you all are acting like it really is blasphemy.

Instead of asking Hol why he hates Lee when he has never even suggested in any way a dislike of Lee, ask yourselves why you are rooting against Frye, and why you seem unable to admit when he does anything well.

Lee is a good player having an excellent season. He is not Jesus.

You look at the last ten games and you will see that they are both playing well and they have both had some poor games too. Root for both of them for chrissake! They both play for our team!!

He didnt compete in two of those games. Indiana and Miami Frye didnt show up or play. He also hasnt blocked a shot in the last 5 games. I am upset with Frye because he has more ability than Lee and doenst use it

Are you really trying to say Lee isn't Jesus?!?!?
Are you trying to imply that Lee did not die and then rise on the 3rd day?!?!?

David Lee is my personal lord and savior and through him all things are possible.

Lee is a set shot away from being an Allstar 20 and 10 player!!!!!!!!! And the funny thing is he already had the shot last season. He is a really good prospect.

It amuses me that people say that he had any kind of shot because he hit a couple corner jumpers last season. Seriously that was the extent of his "shot". A couple of corner jumpers. Like literally two.

A Set shot is different from a set shot. And David Lee hit way more then two of those croner shots last season. But the game already averages about 12 points and 11 boards as a starter, a set shot that created 7 or 8 scoring chances would diffinitly put him in the 18/20 & 10/12 boards per game range. An Allstar in the making.

Much ado about nothing. Except for the part about Crawford, Lee & Marbury crusing for Drag Queens. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
