I think Isiah is doing a good job, but he's doing a good job with a mess HE CREATED. So if I'm only judging him by this year then yes, things are better. I'm not sure I buy some of this though. Curry's value is way up but its been at Frye's expense. And we are not in most games as we have already sufferend 15 double digit losses this year.
His key aquisition is turning out to be a total dud and his draft picks havent seen much daylight because of the fodder in front of them. They also dont play hard everynight, and are OK with mailing it in on a night when things dont go their way.
Marbury has been good of late.
Its better than last year. Is it good enough to make an argument that this guy is moving the franchise in the right direction and has earned more time?
Yeah, Broussard does make some valid points -- but he fails to mention all the dismal moves Isiah has made over the past three years. If you were to evaluate Isiah on just this season, then, yes, there are some positive signs. But what about completely wasting our MLE over the past two years? What about all the ridiculous contracts he took on? And as for this season, what about being too stubborn or too stupid to realize that JJSkinny/Frye is a horrendous starting forward tandem -- especially when there is another option.
Broussard's article is like a good defense lawyer making a closing argument in a seemingly open-and-shut murder case (think O.J.). A good lawyer will make it seems like there is no way a jury should convict his client. Broussard would make a very good defense lawyer.
