BTW "Stat nerds ranked him the 5th best center in the NBA which is a crock of bull" and "People here said he could be better than Curry," is not a valid argument for not resigning him when A) we needed a backup a C and B) We wasted the cash we could have used to sign him AND someone else on someone who teams won't even attempt to guard on the offensive end.

he was not resigned because he is not that good. he is better than JJ2 but that isn't saying much.

The Cato signing was a better move than resigning Butler. Curry is our center of the future, so spending time trying to develop Butler while also developing Lee and Frye would have been alot to ask the coaching staff. It was better to get a veteran. Butler showed that he has some skills, but he was never going to be anything more than a solid backup. Cato came keeper and is still probably a better player. I just wish we did not have JJ1 so Cato could actually play.
