What are the odds that he doesn't either?

that's a good question & i don't think any of us know the answer to that one but him, & chances are he doesn't know either like K22 just said... i have a feeling as long as the Knicks finish the season on a good note & there's no negative backstories going on, Isiah will be retained by Dolan.

Zeke has sweet talked him through the press all yr, it really doesn't matter what their record will be.

I just don't see any reason to be excited about the future of the franchise, because you have player locked in like JJ12, Crawford, Jefferies, etc

And Frye is all but useless out there if Curry and Lee keep developing, he has played soft and his value can't be all that high to get us the wing player we need....

Curry will never take the necessary steps to be a great player on both ends of the floor so i am not all that excited, and don't really see progress to be optimistic about

Significant progress means enough cash is coming into the organization.

Hey TMS

Let me ask..... did you really expect this team to win less than 23gms? If you didn't, is the current pace to win 34gms all that impressive then?

what did I expect? well, maybe I got cuaght up drinking the kool-aid, but I predicted around 38 wins and narrowly missing the playoffs. I dont know if I would go as far as to say that the knicks havent met my expectations since or if they have they havent missed it by a whole lot (there on course to win like 35 gamees right now).

anyway the bad new in my eyes is that the knicks are a bad team and there is no hope of getting alot better with Isiah at the helm. although I havent given up hope on them getting somewhat better. if all things go right and isiah continues to draft will, and doesnt use the MLE as badly the knicks may one day mature into a first round exit team, but we dont have the potential to go any further than that at the rate isiah has been going. and if marbury's knees dont hold out (remember he missed games becuase of knee tendonitis last season too) we may not even get that far.

the only trade assets we have that arent a core of the team are ones that arent all that good. and of course no cap space, or high draft picks.

33wins

So the team is pretty much on our scheduled pace if you take the avg. Now let me ask you....

If the team doesn't quit on Larry last yr how many games do you honestly feel they could have won?

My answer 35-38wins.

that sounds about right to me, but the fact is that they did quit on LB last year & LB quit on them... so let's deal in the reality of the situation & not on the hypotheticals... otherwise we can get into a whole slew of other tangent debates on this issue, including how many i think this team could have won this year if LB was still here & Marbury had been the one to be let go.

those are pretty good predictions, except for the kool aid induced decision to pick curry as most improved

Actually if you do the math as their record stands 18-25=41.8% Take 41.8% X number of games left 39.........41.8%X39=16.3. 16+18=34WINS

thanks... looks like i'll be way off on the Miami prediction, but who'd have known Shaq would miss a huge chunk of the season? also doesn't look like SEA & the Clips will be in the playoff picture at season's end either, but who knows i guess.

& hey, don't count out Curry just yet... if Kevin Martin levels out by the end of the season & Curry continues to improve, you just might see him get the award... i think D Lee is a good bet to nab the 6th man award this year too.

realistically speaking, what other teams out there have great trade assets that AREN'T a part of their core foundation for the future? at least we now have a couple pieces that we can legitimately say can qualify in that regard, & that's something we haven't had here in a long time... & we can finally be in the conversation when a star player becomes available in a trade because we actually have some players that other teams would want to trade for, & that's a positive also.

I'd like to hear what else you have to say on it because it's cumulative to progress. If you honestly feel the team could have won 35gms last yr yet they are on pace to fall short of that by 1 game, that isn't progress by your standard. It's progress in the sense from a failed experiment.
