Jeffries was in the lane just as long. His defensive 3 seconds cancels Butler's out.

but you do realize that jeffries was to guard butler on the swith, so if he is standing in the lane for 3 seconds, it is legal as long as he is guarding someone, or within distance and he was, butler had no business in there for 3 seconds, I mean you do know how the rules work? don't you?

What he said^

Also do you really think the Knicks deserved that called considering they left a man WIDE OPEN UNDERNEATH THE BASKET WITH THE GAME ON THE LINE.

so what you are sayins is that the offensive player can stand in the lane for longer than 3 seconds as long as the defender is there? is that what you are saying? geez!!!

Great now we're arguing over deciding games on 3sec violations. Just goes to show how bad a state this franchise is in.

It is funny, people want to find fault with the knicks so bad, they go to making up their own rules, no matter how crazy or assinine they sound...

Hey next time this team loses and a violation such as this happens could you make sure in your "Keys To The Loss" write ups that you keep it simple and just mention the violation.....THE END!

I mean you mentioned so many other things in your wirte up and didn't even give this isssue any consideration.

Really when was the last time the League made a decision that reversed the outcome of a game? Oh thats right NEVER so who cares and in the pantheon of missed calls at end of game situations this hardly rates IF what your saying even has merit.

but you do realize that jeffries was to guard butler on the swith, so if he is standing in the lane for 3 seconds, it is legal as long as he is guarding someone, or within distance and he was, butler had no business in there for 3 seconds, I mean you do know how the rules work? don't you?

So you're claiming that Jeffries was guarding Butler but Butler was standing there under the basket all by himself and was able to catch and dunk the ball with Jeffries nowhere near him. If that's the case then Jeffries wasn't guarding anybody and was just in the paint which would be a defensive 3 second violation. And secondly, people should shut up about a possible 3 second violation on Butler because it's obviously Jeffries fault for not covering Butler in the first place.

And David Lee him and Jefferies were both standing down there taking pictures as Butler dunked his Wizards to a win.

Ummm...you can't call defensive 3 seconds on a player when there are 3 players from the other team under the basket.

no I am not claiming anything. just responding to the lunacy that jeffries was just standing in the lane, You said that, now you are asking me why was butler so wide open. I am saying that jeffries was switching over to butler, he was obviously late, therefore if he was late and butler was open then Jeffries was not standing in the lane and makes this following comment you made just seem ridiculous..
Jeffries was in the lane just as long. His defensive 3 seconds cancels Butler's out.

so which is it isle? was jeffries standing there or not? I think we know the answer, just admit, you made this statement for the sole purpose of being argumentative, nothing else..
