Marbs is playing great. Maybe Magic slipped him a pair of his old Magic shoes and told him to stop wearing his sh!tty Starburys. It's in the shoes!

But seriously, Marbury is playing fantastic and DJ, I agree, I wish he played this hard all the time, not just now when he *has* to. Great to see though.

I like what steph is doing on both ends.....

But why does he deserve credit, its laughable, that someone making 17 million dollars year and has destroyed teams his whole career finally woke and thought.....

Everyone hates me, no one in the city i grew up in believes in me anymore, i have helped destroy the team i grew up rooting for, maybe i am not the best pg in the nba and perhaps i am not even in the top 10, maybe i will buy into playing team ball, busting my ass on defense and stop acting like a spoiled child throwing fits on the bench and not joining huddles because i think i am above the team....

Being a Bashbury myself I give him props.

I think that Marbury is too worried about his cred and plays to satisfy himself and his critics. But the Defense playing shows more heart and his teammates respect that.

I think that Guys like Magic and Clyde finally got thru to him that all the things that Lenny, Isiah and Larry tell him are the truth but he needs to stop worrying about trying to be "TOLD WHAT TO DO"! and how that looks.

I think this guy has been trying to not be the selfish prick anymore but has had big ego problems with authority figures. If he has matured and owned up to his ability it makes him a better player.

The lack of Franscis and Nate also helps with his minutes.

I still don't think he is a winner or has the mental toughness to be a ice clutch player, but that still might become of him one day.

But, he is playing better, and trying on defense much more!

Props to Marbury. Even Nalod can grow up a bit too!

Bingo...I think the whole Cred, authority figure thing screws with his head royally...It seems like he only trust, listens and respects the stars he knows like Magic,Zeke, and Clyde...He never really let LB in...sad...LB didn't try to make it easy either...But I'm happy to see him play better ball..Hopefully the rest of the team follows suit and play with the same defensive intensity..

There was a quote last year in which Marbs indicated that he needed a PG to coach him(forgetting about Lenny and LB I guess). It really is a psychological thing with him. There are certain people he is just not going to listen to know matter what. And there are others that he will listen to. My guess is after hearing the same general theme from Lenny, LB, Magic, Clyde, Magic plus the fan reaction he just finally realized that it's him, and noone else.

Hopefully.

#1. marbs is playing great right now.

#2. i'd trade him the second i found a team willing to take him off our hands for shorter contracts and without us having to relinquish #1's or lee/balkman. all right, i'd let balkman go if the deal is good enough.

every year of steph's career he has a stretch where he's as good as he is right now. every year that falls apart, the guy falls apart, his tema falls apart.

steph's playing great. i hope he keeps it up. i hope it allows us to trade him.

i agree w/u Marv... i've been burned too many times in the past thinking this guy had finally turned it around only to see him revert back to what made me hate him in the first place... if his improved play creates a good opportunity to trade him & get his contract off our books, i'm all for it.

btw, did u say that to him when you were standing next to him taking the picture?

He said "Steph, I can't wait til you leave New York, they'll be a lot better as soon as you leave just like the other teams got better once you left."

TV show deal in place might be fueling his resurgence.

CarsonBury public love can only exist with him playing well.

What did Magic say to Marbury that LB and Isiah didn't already say.

Poor comprehension IS WHAT AILS THIS YOUNG MAN
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

It wasn't until Clyde spoke to Marbury that Marbury turned it around.

Magic had his talk with Marbury, the next game Marbury still stunk. And Clyde while announcing the game said he was going to talk to Marbury as well after talking about Magic trying to influence Marbury. I also remember a thread or a post being made at the time about how many Legends are going to have to speak to Marbury for him to get his act together. He has Magic, Clide, Isiah.

Then I would say either the next game or game after that is when Marbury started to pick it up a little more.
