He might take a chance but he would come down like a sack of bricks on Nate if he acted up just like he did with Ron Mercer

I don't see the Spurs taking a chance on a questionable attitude player, much less a questionable attitude PG when they already have a young PG in Beno Udrih.

Didn't they win a championship with Stephen Jackson? Pop is a pretty damn good coach, y'know.

As someone said before, They also went after "headcase" JR Smith, and they did take on Nick Van Exel at one point, didn't they?

Thats what I'm saying. The Spurs brass feels they can take a chance on some problem childs because their nucleaus is so upright that they police the other players themselves.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Nick was past his prime with nothing to prove. Before they acquired him he was talking about retiring. J.R. was a part of a N.O. franchise that was being mismanaged and teams knew they could get in while they were selling low on him. The only bad rep J.R. had was work ethic and it centered around not being a morning person. Not of the sort inciting brawls, disrepsecting refs regularly, fighting teammates, showboating, upstaging coaches, and part of a palace coup against your best colleague in the sport.

We're rebuilding. Trading for a 35 year old player doesn't fit the plan. Barry's a good player, but he's too old for us.
