I can't believe that around the back play he tried a few min. ago. It looked like he was just trying to put on a show instead of playing hard to win.

I think the behind the back is allowed. The travel was called after he hopped and came back down with the ball

No, Im talking about the hop step. They have changed the enforcement. Hell, that behind the back dunk kobe did was the same exact move as well.

I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

say what you want about Jamal, but late in games he's our most fearless player by far... you want a guy like this in big games who isn't afraid to step up & deliver in crunchtime... he took over the game in the biggest spot today, made a HUGE dish to D Lee in the closing seconds, made a couple more huge shots, & sank the FT's to seal the win.

good game Jamal.

(great game by Steph too, btw... just so u don't think i'm hatin')

He's been better at dishing than swishing.

LOL, the panties get alittle less tight for alittle while. Three people make the team go(plus marbury right now).

Lee.............
Crawford............
Curry................

Good game by both guys. Jamal shot poorly but did other things and played hard.

Bonn, I've never seen a point guard who never tried that move in a game. Charlie Ward and Chris Childs have both done it. You can say he tries to be flashy all you want, and may be right, but he DOES play hard while at it. Rarely see him slacking.

Marbury is the best right now, but he came late to the party. I got to see him do this for aslong as I 've these guys make things happen for the knicks before he makes the list..

Bottom line...

10-11 when Jamal starts
6-11 when Jamal is a 6th man

I'll take 10-11!!! And the 6.0 ppg and almost 3% in FG% Oh yeah, the assists are much higher as well.

And...Marbury plays much better as a starter next to him. With Jamal in the SL, he made about 50% of his shots versus under 40% without him

Exactly. Jamal allows Curry and Marbury to play their game. If you noticed in today's game it wasn't until Jamal entered the game that things started to get rolling.

There's different types of behind the back dribbles: (a) effective, even necessary ones, that help you elude defenders and (b) showy, useless ones that put you in no better position than a regular cross-over dribble. I have no problem with the first one. It's part of being a good player. Jamal's was in the 2nd category, though, except that he tried to do it in so much traffic and so quickly that he couldn't control his body at the same time. I'll give him a pass because he came through in the clutch, though. I made the post well before the game had ended.

Regardless, it looked like a decent move at the time, but he travelled. Either way, he had a nice game, particularly the end.

I agree he had a nice game. I like the fact that he wasn't forcing shots. His shots weren't falling. So he tried to get others involved instead and did a good job at it. I thought Eddy's rebounding was pretty good today. He still doesn't box out but he at least was aggressive going after the ball.
