Bottom line: Two of our best four players are not currently starting, and we played our best ball when our front line was Lee, Curry and Frye.

The lineup that clearly makes the most sense:

Marbs, Q, Lee, Frye, Curry

Crawford, Jeffries, N8 (sparingly), Cato off the bench.

Period.

End of story.

Of course, it's way too simple for Isiah.

Now Lee's minutes are all messed up. Yeah, makes a ton of sense to screw around with a player who was grabbing around 13-14 rebounds and getting a double-double every night when he finally started and got major minutes.

What a joke.

Jeffries has the juice card with Isiah. He has forced Lee to the bench who playing great and now it is Jamal.

I would prefer a lineup with Marbury, Jamal, Q, Curry, and Lee.

It will be interesting to see how Q and Marbury play together in the backcourt because Jeffries not being an offensive threat is still going to be a problem. Especially since the person that is guarding Jeffries does not have to work on the offensive end. Expect whoever is guarding Jeffries to help out more on doubling Curry.

I'm sure all the questions we have the rest of the Knicks team is wondering why Jeffries starts also. Unless he is busting everyone ass up in practice.

I rather see Marbury, Q, JJ2, Frye, Curry. Jamal is not a starting calibur SG. Let him come off the bench, he can stay on the floor when he is playing well and get yanked when he's on the verge of going 6for26. As bad as JJ2 is we don't need to rely on him for offense with Marbury, Curry, Frye & Q on the court. This is actually our best lineup if Frye can keep doing a good job on the boards and continue to block more shots

guns, is it the knicks don't rely on jj2 or that we are simply playing 4 on 5 with him on the floor. i really haven't seen much other than his signing of a 5 yr 30 mil contract that merits him playing.

i say sit jeffries ass down on the bench next to the other 30 mil man jerome james, and play marbury, crawford, Q, lee, curry w/ frye, balkman, cato, nate off the bench.

jared jeffries can, as d-generation-x once so boldly stated, suck it.

the goon squad of jeffries, collins, and james can be reserved for patrolling the paint after blowouts

you're right JJ2 has to be able to hit a jumper from time to time but even if he doesn't I much rather have him and Q start and see how that works than Crawford who kills us more often than he helps win games

If only Lee went to IU.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Agreed. We all know JJ2 isn't a defensive stopper, but he is the best defender we have along with Q. Bringing JJ2 off the bench gives us no punch. Jamal and Lee add energy off the bench. This is the lineup I've been calling for. This is more bablanced.

I agree that Lee should be starting but he can't start at the 3, he can't guard opposing 3's, we've seen him get lit up by them. I would rather see Lee starting at PF and having Channing come off the bench. Either that or I would prefer to trade Frye for wing man who can come in here and start. I like that solution better.
