good article. the drafting record is why I can never turn my back on the guy. and the Qrich and Curry trades look pretty good these days as well.

Everything is judged by winning fellas. Especially in New York.

Win some games, Isiah isn't so bad after all.

Lose some games, Isiah has dismantled the franchise.

bottom line when judging isiah thomas:

do you feel this team is being built towards an nba title?

if the answer is yes - then he stays.
if the answer is no - then he goes.

the ONLY objective should be building towards a title.

not building to making the playoffs. not building to sell out the arena.

but legitimately building a team to win a title.

my opinion - seeing how all the championship teams over the past 30+ years were built, then i would say "NO", isiah is not building towards a title. and unless he starts making more trades and DUMPING contracts, then the answer will continue to be "NO."

This coming from someone who thinks that Curry is the centerpiece, i.e. Franchise player, of a championship caliber team.

Its entirely possible that the Pistons are working on their 4th championship in a row had Dumars drafted Carmello or Wade instead of Darko. They would at least have more than one. Good article. This is what I have been saying. This team needs seasoning, but there is alot of talent here. We are only one or two good trades/signings away from having a very solid team.
