So, let's get this straight. Isiah is buying out every player that LB wanted waived? The team is playing a little better each time he gets rid of one of the malcontents? Hmm... interesting.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Give Vecsey credit. He found a way to slam Francis, Webber, Zeke and LB in one article. Hate like that takes talent.

THe article suggests more than anything, along with other things we have read that anything coming out of the garden is not always truthful. Thus why Fran is in Houstan is mystery.

I believe that Brown wanted Francis instead of marbury. Fran has become a huge finacial debacle. masssive. And ultimatly the responsability has be on Isiah. In fact, he should be fired for it if the owner actually had real money to spend.

Was Isiah under the illusion that he could buy out or move Marbury and have fran instead?

Is there anyone, including Brown that thought "Franbury" would be a good Idea? So What in gods name was Isiah really thinking??

This all has many moving parts to it. Philly is about to go into rebuilding mode big time and buying out CWeb makes a ton of sense.

We should not take him on unless there is a move to trade Frye.

Is there a Garnett trade in the works? Where Frye, Fran and lees for Garnett with C-webb as role player? Is shelving Fran and shining him up a prelude to a trade? Teams can send GM's to work him out with out distractions? Maybe Fran has come out of the closet? Maybe his knee really does hurt!

Or how about this?

3 things i noticed from this clip:

1 - Francis' jumpshot seemed to have a nice arc in his Houston days... i wonder why he shoots the ball on a beeline now?

2 - wow, what an explosive player he used to be... too bad we got the broken down, shadow of himself version.

3 - gotta love the NBA Live highlight clip... the Francis on my 2K7 can still do that move too btw.

Why buyout, just trade them straight up for each other. NY gets the better because Webber has 1 less year on the contract. NY throws in JJ to make it even $$ wise....either one.

With the extra roster spot, IT works his magic and gets a NBDL big and SG.

Philly doesn't want to take on the extra year on Francis' contract obviously... if this happens, it's essentially a trade of both those guys, only no cap money changes hands... in that case i don't see how it helps the Knicks improve at all... CWebb is no longer a defensive presence down low, so we really don't need him other than losing a year off the cap that trading Francis for him would have provided.

That brings us back to Robinson, Thomas' pet rock-head. He was quoted the other day as saying this was the first time he'd ever been suspended.

"It hurt. I'll learn from my mistakes."

Oh, really?

A Knicks source claims Brown suspended Robinson a game last season, though the team kept it on the down low. Instead, beat reporters were told he was home sick. I believe it was Dec. 17, a Pacers victory at the Garden. He was benched the next game as well, a loss to the Spurs, the Knicks' seventh straight.

Why was The Gadget banished, you ask? On the charter from Atlanta (122-111, Hawks) to New York, Robinson bombarded teammates and other team personnel with spit balls.

LOL... you just can't make this stuff up.

You can't be serious. Obviously, if he got suspended for that, he deserved it. I'm sure if everyone was playing along and cool with it, it would've been fine. If he, and only he, got suspended, then he was doing it... and his teammates, coach and management got annoyed and sent him a message.

And you really can't make this stuff up. Nate needs to go back to elementary school and learn how to behave.

Color me wrong about Brown wanting Francis. Isiah agreed too though.

I think Isiah was looking at it as stockpiling assets for a big trade this year. Dolan brought the hammer down on that plan.

Brown.. I don't even know what the hell he was thinking.

Because that's worked so well in the past? You may be right. Ironically, this year, those types of players were potentially available via trade (Iverson, Gasol, Lewis, Allen, Artest?). Though the truth is that trading expiring deals and draft picks for bigger contracts again and again and making a team of only guards only works on the Playstation.

We're not getting Webber. He'll probably go to the Nets.

No, he would be getting starting minutes, 38 a game. Curry will be playing 35 a game. We'll be an 8th seed getting swept and Isiah will be beating his chest red saying how he made the Knicks good again when it's all just a smokescreen. F' Webber.

I hope you're right but I'm concerned. The article sounds like he'd come to the Knicks because of how much he likes Isiah.
