I honestly don't care about comparing this year to last year.

All I know is that the players were happy to have the coach they wanted. Isiah has no excuse since he brought all these players here for whatever plan he's on this season. He got rid of a lot of dead weight from last year and he added 2 defensive minded players.

Why are they 8 games under .500?

Why are they getting blown out constantly?

Why are they getting behind early in every game by 10 or more points?

Why can't they still play defense?

Why is their offense so disjointed, especially when Curry isn't on or is being double teamed?

Why is the rotation such a mess with players who haven't earned playing time, playing ahead of players who have?

If comparing last year to this year is the gold standard, then I guess Larry Brown should get his 30mm left on the table. This is business---isiah has spent 500mm$ on his players--isnt 41 wins at a MINIMUM acceptable? Werent we supposed to win 41+ last year but LB supposedly through the year??? So we add another guy for 300mm[which most teams cant do on a yearly basis] the glue man--oh forget it.

This team, with a new savior, the perfect coach with the perfect system, and all the cause for motivation any team could ever want is 13-21.

I'd hate to see where things go if the situation were less than perfect.

well, of course we can't make an accurate assessment until the end of the year. however, we do have the same record in january and anything can happen. they are playing better but that is expected. the bottom line is that they are still losing. sure, they have a chance to win more games. but a significant improvement that dolan wants is not being shown. they are improving but not significantly ( except lee and curry). they need a winning record from now until the end of the year or we need to bring in a gm and coach who knows how to win and build on the winning formula.

if we're judging by record, I'd have to say wait until the final record. some things are better than last year, some things are worse. the misuse of Lee is more glaring, but he was still misused last year. Frye and Marbury were both playing much better last year, so being 13-21 with them playing as bad as they have is a little of a plus. ugh. Start Lee already.

You gotta be kidding me. The misuse of Lee is more glaring? How. Last yr he recieved about 13-41 DNP's. He's averaging 30 mins per game. He played 36 minutes last night which is more than average for a starter. Okay, so if Isiah started Lee, he may get 3-4 more minutes than his seasons average. Big deal. He's usually there when it counts at the end. You guys are making mountains out of mole hills with this Lee situation.

I can't beleive that people are comparing last year to this year and using this as a baseline for success. Why? Because it's all about LB and not about the Knicks. Our standards are so low that as long as we can show that old codger that we are better than we will view it as a success. Even I can't beleive how low our standards have fallen.
I just hope that people will like me

hey, it gets fun if we want to keep comparing records. we didn't get our 14th win last year til we had 27 losses. we didn't get our 15th til we had 37 losses. keep comparing the record, please.

while we're comparing last year's record to this year's - how about blowout wins? last year we had one through the first 35 games. this year we have four or five.

Can we compare how many times the media was used to knock a player??? I think it's like 4 this year and 28 for last year.

This year is MUCH better, cuz you can SEE that there is growth with Curry and Lee. That alone is a VERY good thing. Now you must remember that until he reinjured his back, Q was playing great. Steph is playing better as well. It's evident that we still have issues, but there are some bright spots for this team. One BIG thing is that we haven't had any extended losing streaks like last year. Last year we had a 5 game and 7 game losing streak by this point.

Now at this point we need to get our players back, most importantly is a healthy Q. Q was having such a good year and you can clearly see that we need his overall game and leadership. Nate has his problems, but he also is a spark plug and a goos shooter. We could use his energy. I can't wait to see this team with those two back and I feel good about our chances for the rest of the season when they do come back.

Isiah hasn't lost his team and that's a HUGE difference from last year. The Div. is still up for grabs so let's go get it !!!!!!!!

baby steps, isles. how many 24yr old centers have won it all? Duncan and Bill Russell? certainly not Shaq or Ewing.

It's like your so mad that the squad is playing better ball, you have to make stupid statements like that. The comments were basically a comp to last year and a valid observation that we are much improved over last year. No one is expecting a championship anytime soon, most have their fingers crossed that we can take our division, be over .500 and make the playoffs.
I know people like you, if it doesn't happen the way you want it to happen, then the product is garbage. They won 7 of their last 11. 3 straight and 5 straight at home.
Curry is consistent, Lee is consistent, marbury is returning to form, Frye jumper is automatic, Q is playing well, etc. So I don't get why people are negative
