Isiah is clearly sabotaging the team and needs to be fired immediately before its too late. And im not being sarcastic about Larry Brown. For whatever reason Isiah is sabotaging the team. or maybe he is just an idiot

I think he's just trying to justify the Jared Jefferies signing. Also, I think Frye is starting over Lee because he's hoping Frye's shooting heats up to spread the floor and maybe because he doesn't want to bench his signature lotto pick.
The perils of having your GM and your coach be the same guy.

Pretty much. It will do Isiah in.

You can't start D.Lee because he can't shoot and he can't play the three. Frye needs to start because he has something of an outside game...and thats needed because NONE of our three have a jumper.
When Q.Richardson comes back...IF he comes back...then we can talk about starting Lee. Until then, he keeps the seats warm for the starters.

Lee played 36 minutes last night and still people find a reason to b!tch and moan about Lee starting. He's averaging 30 mins per game. He's usually there in the end when it counts the most.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think Isiah is also having Lee come off the bench because none of the other guys are as effective off the bench as they are starting (i.e., Frye & Jeffries)
Right now, we don't have the talent to win unless everyone is playing well.
Jeffries and Frye haven't quite found their rhythm.
But, I noticed last night that Lee was a quick substitute into the sac game and Isiah might be realizing he needs to start Lee.

I like David Lee. You can't argue about his rebounding and hustle.
BUT:
He isn't a guy who can defend against the starting quality PFs. You can argue that maybe he needs to start more in order to improve his defense but at this moment its just not as good as JJs.
I don't know if its that important who starts. David is averaging 30 minutes per game and he is getting plenty of chances to show himself to teams around the league. Isiah being here or not, David Lee is probably our best piece of trade bait. If another GM comes in, he's probably moving either Frye or Lee.
I'm not ready to give up on Frye yet, nor Lee. Nor Isiah. This argument about starting isn't as important when David gets more minutes than any other Forward we have anyway.

when you go down 10+ points every first quarter, then spend the rest of the game trying to catch up, then yeah, starting is just a tad bit important.

By the way, DLee had some pretty bad brain farts out there against Sac. I counted two silly turnovers at least where he forgot to dribble the ball before shuffling his feet.
He can score near the bucket, and the occasional 15-18 footer but he's not a guy who spreads the floor for the offense. Not a threat on defense to shut down a guy either.
So an offense built around putbacks and being ECs garbage man and not much defense. He is a one dimensional player and he is very good at that dimension. Otherwise I would like him to stay humble and keep working hard on his game to get even better.

When you start LEE in the first quarter, who is on your bench to give you that spark when you need it? Who is going to get those two early fouls called on them? David? Okay then he's out of the game. Frye? Oh well we still can bring in David. Curry two early fouls? No problem, bring in David Lee. JJ stinkin it up? No biggie, just move Frye to SF and insert Lee in the game.
More options off the bench for Lee. Its not about matchups in the fist quarter. Its about building a chemistry to not get off to slow starts. Let JJ and Frye do their thing because they need to get off for our team to truly compete in the long run. I don't want to shake anyone's confidence by benching them, and David's game is not predicated on confidence.

Balkman is now going to play over who? Channing? JJ?
There's a simple rule.
Skill players start. Hustle players spark. (off the bench)

How is Frye more skilled than Lee? Frye can shoot and he isnt doing that very well. What other skill, passing, dribbling, running the floor, and rebounding does Frye do better? Frye cannot put the ball on the floor for more than one dribble, turns the ball over and us averging about .4 assists per game.
