Frye came up big with shots, rebounds and defense down the stretch...many plays wiithout which we lose...all after barely playing the first half because of foul trouble. Its like a microcosm of his season.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

the most important development of the last few weeks has been that Frye and Curry have learned to play their games together - on the floor at the same time.

I was saying last season that Frye and Curry learning to play together would be the most important factor in this team's success and it's looking like they're finally getting it. of course, Steph and Jamal have both done a great job feeding them both.

The guy has his positives. But I don't know if a guy his size who can't rebound will ever have a major impact (like in a consistent winning playoff way). Good shooter, but soft, soft, soft.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Frye plays the role the Knicks currently need from him...He stretches the defense to free Curry on the inside...most night playing with Curry, he needs to be on the perimeter to keep the defense honest...Thats cool for now...I'm won't get too caught up in his rebounding numbers..Lee plays a different role....He needs to rebound while in the game...TEAM EFFORT it's called...

Frye has been on a mini-tear lately--- playing w/ the same type of confidence he had during his run last year. I agree w/ y'all that think he'll have a long future in the NBA w/ that killer jumper. While I think he and Curry make a nice (offensive) pair in the half-court set, I think long term, Frye's post-up game development will be stunted somewhat by playing w/ Curry.

Agreed-- even given Curry's play lately, the team should look to get Frye the rock in the post more often. As pretty as his jumper is, I'm more impressed with that hook shot of his. It's automatic, to the point where I have a tough time remembering times when he's missed it.

Agreed that will be huge for him...Gets him to the free throw line more...I think it's something the Knicks need to improve upon...I think he should play center when Curry is on the bench and run the same plays for him that is run for Curry...

I voted no, because I always liked Frye and thought he would be a good player. I still would trade him for the right deal because of Lee & Curry. And I mean a great deal, like the right to dump francis, a pick and a prosect. None of those stupid Warrrick strate deals.

I always ask this, lets say god forbid Curry goes down then what?...Who steps in? Do you wright off the season or do you hand the torch over the Frye to play the post?

Frye played great tonight and he's starting to put together a nice string of games. I've never wanted Frye out because I didn't think he was good, I just felt he was redundant with Curry, because neither rebound and I still don't think either of them rebound.

Theres never been a question about Fryes shooting, he can shoot with the best of them, but if the right deal came along, I'd still trade him because I think his rebounding and defense are going to hold him back from moving to the next tier of NBA talent.

Great shooter though, no doubt.

People tend to take some one's positive and use it as a negative...Everyone say Frye is a great shooter and that's all he does which isn't true..Frye fill the role that most helps the Knicks currently...he plays on the perimeter to help stretch the defense to free Curry on the inside..I would imagine that is the reason Isiah is starting him...When Curry, Frye and Lee play together it would make sense to have Lee under the basket, Curry posting and Frye on the perimeter...I have no doubts that Frye and pull down 8-9 rebounds per game..NONE...

What would thespurs do if DUncan went down for the season????? I like Frye, but Lee & curry should start, so what third Big man on any team is untradeable??? I'm just saying I would try and fix the team buy trading for somebody who could fill his backup shoes, a pick and to get rid of francis.

Frye isn't the third big man on this team, he starts...If Duncan goes down the Spurs are done...

Frye was very good today. I hope he comes on strong and continues to improve his defense and rebounding. I'm not sure we can good value back for him. Nobody is trading a big thats better than him, and I'm against trading big for small as a principal. There is always a million guards available out there.

Its a very hard decision. Have to remember this is his 2nd year only. Right now I would not trade him.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Frye had a good year last year. He recovered from his injury and is putting up good numbers. There is no reason to think he wont continue from last year. Frye will be fine. People love to overreact around here oohah. My favorite one was someone saying "I would rather have Sam Dalembert instead of Eddy Curry."

Well, Frye started out the season with 7 bad games, so the right thing to do is trade him for the first guy who comes to mind. Obviously.

I would still consider that.
