trust me, we're stuck w/Marbury until next season at the Allstar break at the bare minimum... he won't become a tradeable commodity until his contract has 1 year left... & Francis won't be tradeable at all unless he can prove he can come back & be effective a-la Grant Hill... when has an NBA GM ever traded for a 3 year maxed out contract of an injured player?

Giving up Frye for a player in his 9th year that the Knicks don't really need doesn't make a lot of sense...Bibby's better days are behind him just like Francis and Marbury...Do we really need to watch another point guard grow old and pay him the money he really earned on someone else's roster...NO Thanks...I can live with Marbs...Francis must go...

I tend to agree with this. And this theory that Bibby is a pure point guard is nonsense. Bibby is a scoring guard. With that said, he is a pretty good perimeter shooter and could work well on the same side with Curry. But he's a little long in the tooth, so I pass.

what injured player did he trade for that came with a maxed out 3 year contract? CWebb was putting up 20 & 10 when he traded for him.

Webber was coming off his Knee surgery though.

dude, if Steve Francis was putting up 20 & 7 assists right now, there's no question he'd be tradeable... you can't trade a player who's not even playing because of degenerative knee tendinitis that may put an end to his career that's still owed $30+ million dollars over the next 2 seasons.

I don't mind sticking with Marbury. This team is shifting toward Curry and as long as Marbury is willing to give him the ball, I am cool with that. Francis is the one that probably needs to go, but if his knee is hurt, no team is taking him until his contract gets down to one year.

as long as Marbury keeps playing on both ends of the floor the way he's been lately, he can stay.
