Making the playoffs and getting embarrassed like the last time we did sure is a great experience for our young players. You are delusional if you think this team is any good. The only good news that can happen is IT getting fired, finally. I guess to be "fair", he should get another year, since Layden got about 4. Either way, this team is garbage.

We did not have a young team back then. Its always good to give young players a taste of the playoffs. It builds their confidence and shows them where their game has to be.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

Playoffs is always a good thing, I don'tcare how dowryofa fan youare. Every coach trys to make the playoffs because only good things can come from that.

Martin, that isn't an appropriate question??? All I want is a yes or a no.

Little kids can access this site. Would you want your kids to come to a site that has content like that?

And to top it off, this forum has an excellent reputation and has been mentioned in the NY Times, NY Post (From Marc Berman) and a couple of other magazines articles. Why would Martin and Andrew want to mess with that, by allowing content like that to be displayed.

I don't know what hentai is, but if it's something that shouldn't be opened up in a school library, then I don't think it should be on there either.

This team making the playoffs even with a bad record would still be a good thing. You want your team to get as much playoff atmosphere experience as possible. Besides I don't think this team is that far off from climbing back to .500 at some point this season. They have to keep fighting like they've been doing and Isiah has to find the right rotation, which hopefully will include a lot of what we've been seeing in the last few games but adding the help from Jared and a Healthy Q. Keep the rotation tight and I think this team will start to compete against better teams and actually win more of those games.

DET, PHX & LAC are tough games, but we have a shot against SAC, POR and SEA. We needed this little break and hopefully we can come back strong and more ready to face DET. It's gonna be real interesting to see how Isiah handles the rotations from here on out.

THe playoffs are almost a must IMO. The Atlantic is wide open, as discussed in another thread. These young players need to get a feel for playoff intensity even if we do get blown out, which I am not convinced will happen. Moreover, we can rob the Bulls of that second lottery pick. The primary goal for the rest of the season must be to make the playoffs. All we have are young players, so there is no real issue of playing vets vs. developing our youth.

Playoffs is never a bad thing. Never. I agree that it would be good to get the experience of seeing the playoffs but.........

Going .500 or above and not making the playoffs would be a more valuable experience than winning 32-35 games and making the playoffs because your division is horrible. The most valuable thing that our players can experience right now is winning. The most valuable experience our organization can experience is winning. We need to see our players win more games than lose. They must learn how to win. Otherwise the playoffs become just another side show.

Nixluva: It's great to hear you talk about tightening the rotation. Does this mean I'm no longer a Net fan?
I just hope that people will like me

agreed... i think rewarding our players for a bad season would be counterproductive... so if they end up w/a pitiful record but end up making the playoffs due to the fact that the rest of the division is equally as pitiful doesn't do anything positive for the mentality of these players... they have to know that you have to work your butts off & WIN games to get to where you want to go.

Atlanta/Boston/Boston/Philly beat up on the Knicks, still means nothing...or does it?

Wow, all of a sudden you're all over the place and ignoring your previous cries for patience. I guess we're all allowed to start making definitive statements about this team from here on out. Good to know since we're 5 games under .500 and our schedule is going to get together now.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

I gotta agree a little with Iseles. I mean we have been fooled before. So until this team gets to 500. or over we really can't go nuts yet.

Though they deserve a lot of praise for there efforts especially through the circumstances we were faced with.

But Isles that philly game you and I know that the team was dead tired from working there asses off the Utah & Chi game and all those overtimes with a shorten rotation.

Like one of the posters said who's name I can't think of right now. If losing to Philly was the price we had to pay for going all out the 3 game prior in overtime. Then so be it.
