At the end of regulation and first OT, Crawford fired last-second bricks. The first overtime snafu was awful, with Marbury dribbling the clock down to three seconds before handing off to Crawford. "It's exactly what I didn't draw up," said Thomas.

Curry was supposed to set a high pick for Marbury to drive the lane but Crawford, Thomas said, jumped the gun. It all ended right, with Jordan a loser.

"If he would've been in the game, we would've gone to a [third] overtime," Thomas cracked.

He might go somewhere. You never know. His personality wears on players and coaches. This is the first time Isiah has been this close to his effect and he might try to move him if ever given a chance.

IMO, that ship has sailed. And even if we try to, we gotta get some draft picks back in the trade and there's very few GMs in the league dumb enough to do that.

We're stuck with him for better or worse so let's just hope he continues to "get it".

(btw, were you drinking last night? )

I dont drink. I would accept a #2 pick if we could dump Francis and Marburys salary for contracts that end in the next year
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

If Marbury doesn't steal the ball from Carrol, the tip play doesn't happen.

no doubt... i already gave him props for his defense last night... still, the play at the end of the 1st OT was his bad imo.

Marbury wins the game vs the Jazz, and then after playing 52 minutes finds the energy to shut down Morrison and make a HUGE steal that gives a chance to nearly win and he STILL gets no love. Comon anji, give the guy some props. He played very well last night. Maybe he has some trouble carrying us late in the game because he PLAYED the entire game on BOTH ends of the floor. Give the guys some credit.

Yeah, that should be the aim. Us having cap space is more valuable than anyone else's besides maybe the Lakers. It annoys me how them getting under the cap basically got them 3 championships.

(btw - the drinking question wasn't about your above post. No dis intended.)

I'm madd at marbury. THis guy needs to be our superstar player or at least the best player game in and out. How many number one players get 84 points from three starts and they don't lead their team to a blow out of the other team????? Marbury is hurting the team bady........... It's like he has a very warped veiw of what getting your teammates involved means. IT's doesn't mean don't look for you shot or don't be aggressive. It does mean pass the ba and get out of the way, because he hurts the team when he does this.

I dunno, maybe it's just me.

I have no problem with Marbs last night. I thought he played pretty well. The only thing I can nitpick about is that last play in which he passed off to Craw. Even if Craw blew the play as the PG you have to realize this and this is when you break off the play and get the best shot you can for yourself instead of forcing your teammate into a bad one. I can't kill him for this though. He played a pretty solid game otherwise. He hustled his arse off in the second half on D(which makes you wonder why these guys don't do it all game especially in the beginning when they aren't tired) and ran a pretty solid floor game with a few boo boos. He's played 3 solid games in a row and should be commended. But he needs to do this everynight. I guarantee if he does it every night his confidence will grow and he will be more willing to take bigger shots.

he cannot digress now.

They kept focusing the camera on his knee. He also lost effectiveness as the game wore on. I wonder if he is starting to develop knee problems...

Good point. Lets remember he couldn't even finish last season because of knee problems (or was it "heart" problems? So hard to tell sometimes.)

As a consequence he took a loooong rest this summer and consequently, it seems, came into camp sluggish and out of shape. Now he seems to be rounding into form, but what will be the arc of his progress? I think he'll be productive from now thru January, but by February be backsliding again into pain and sluggishness.

Slow starts and finishes each season could be a pattern that follows him the rest of his career. I believe he's already in year 3 of it, if not more.

I ticked we won. I'm ticked we had 3 guys score 20 plus. I'm ticked we had a dominant front like with Curry, frye and Lee. I'm ticked that we are 2-0 basically playing 7-8 players all game. I'm ticked we are already 4 games ahead of last years pace. I'm ticked that we have so many good young players

What do you mean???? Are you saying anything I am saying is wrong or made up???? then prove it!!!

ANd Im not even killing marbury, all I'm pointing out is this guy is playing like a bench player while getting mintues and paid like a superstar. If you are Jason Kidd you can score 9 points in a game, because that guy runs his team at a high level and defends at a high level. I can't accept this avgerage numbers from a guy who plays at the most C+ Defense and runs the team at that level. Yes it is better that he runs the team and plays better then the D's he has been putting up his whole career. BUt if he upgrades his Defense and point guard skills to C+, but his offense is a F now.......... that is still a net lost. If this team had a real player running the point last night, forget about making the steal in the second over time..........this game is a 15 point win in the fourth. And I said play not point. Doesn't matter if it was ridnour or gilbert, a real player finishes that game off in the fourth quarter...

Marbury ain't here to play well, or show heart, he is the only player here (in my eyes)who is here to perform. And it kills me when he doesn't, because I used to defend this guy. All he needs is this coach and these players................... he got 84 points from three other players, what else would any "star" need?????

That's what I'm talking, Buck all this Steve Blake,"he showed heart,he played well" Hubba Bubba. Last night was great. Marbury was aggressive with took pressuare off of everybody. The assist were timely and they just wasn't throwing the ball to somebody to hit a jumpshot, he actually created open shots for people. THe points were timely, he broke the Bulls back early in the thrid with that duce followed up by a three pointer to put us up by 11. That's what your stars do. They score 2 or three baskets at an important time. This is whats steff needs to do!!!!!!!

I'll tell you what bothers me most about Marbs. He has played some very good D the past 3 or 4 games. He hasn't faked his way through screens. He's fought through screens. Why am I ticked at this? Because I'm wondering where that's been for the last 2 years.

PS. Yes MS, the same exact thing can be said about Crawford.

Well what can I say. I listed to this game on the radio and I couldn't tell when Marbury was in the game. HOw do we cut the lead to 2 points and our star is no where to be found??? HOw does this team drag it's way back to almost tying the game and our point guard allows the offense to become Mailk Rose taking 15 foot jumpshots????

I know I'm saying anything new, but Marbury & Francis just need to go.... away. YOu can't live with this team having guard play at the level of 2 second year players with 30 year-old men running the offense. Drop em. Play:
Curry/Frye
Lee/Balkman
Q/JJ2
Crawford/Nate
Collins/Nate
Cato/Rose emergency players for the front court.
PLay thekids 25 and under, I bet we seea better team!!!!!
