I thought Marbury brought all the rookies gifts last year. Lee and Marbs are definitely friends. I actually think Marbury doesn't get along with Crawford or Curry particularly well...or doesnt really mesh with them that well.

hmm, i think Marbury gets along w/Jamal the best out of everyone on this team... don't think him & Curry are that close though... Lee gets along w/everyone, he's just that type of guy that everyone likes.

I think this TEAM as a whole gets along very well. People don't realize this cuz they're so busy bashing Steph, they assume that he isn't liked, but in most interviews with the young players on this team they say glowing things about him and in many situations i've seen him talking to them and encouraging them, but that doesn't get played up as much as his negative stuff. I tape every game and I go over them and I can tell you that he does a decent job of communicating with them, that goes unnoticed.

Like others have said, last year when Lee was starting and the team went on that streak, Steph was clearly telling Lee to shoot and was looking for him. He has a good rapport with Frye as well and I just think we need to stop killing the guy so much. He's got flaws, but he's also a guy that does things in a low key manner when it comes to his positive acts.

the guy has deserved every criticism he's gotten, but he's had 3 good games in a row & he deserves some props for that... still, you don't change the history of the past 3 years by having a good 3 games in a row nixluva... Marbury needs to show everyone that he can sustain the way he's been playing the past couple days over the span of the entire season & beyond while being a POSITIVE influence on the younger guys on this team, rather than getting into arguments with coaches & teammates & not taking accountability for his own failures as a basketball player, like he spent the past 3 years doing here in NY... if he can do that, i'll be at the front of the line giving him his due props.

We need to get a young PG. I dont consider Mardy/Nate a PG. We have quality youngs at every position except PG.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

we need a young PG that plays defense & is smart w/the basketball on offense... Chris Duhon would be ideal.

I would say Marbs and Jamal, but they don't seem to be having the same chemistry they did the past couple years.

I dont think Jcraw even likes Marbury at this point. He seems to ignore him at times. Last year he did as well. I'm not talking about during live game action. Curry reachs out to Marbury but I think Qrich and Jamal dislike Marbury. When Marbury missed the shootaround and started it was reported several Knicks complained. I wonder which ones complained. Qrich, Jamal, and Curry are very tight. Curry and Lee also are tight as are Lee and Frye. I think Nate is actually Marburys best friend on the team

It's not about having best friends on the team. The thing is that they do get along. Despite all the crap that's written. No one is trying to overlook his flaws, but VERY FEW ever acknowledge that he does positive things on this team and for his teammates. Steph isn't this selfish player that people make him out to be. His 1st year here he avg'd 9.3 assists and he would've had more than that, if Isiah had not made the trades of Van Horn and Doleac. The next year he had 8.1 asts and also scored well. It was last year that really messed his game up. This year he's adjusting to sharing the load and it's been tough, but he's still looking to do that. He's trying to allow his teammates to shine, but if they need him to pick up the slack he does. He's learning how to play that way. This is the most talent he's had around him since his playoff year in PHX. The difference is that now he is actually learning to be more of a team player. When the guy is on his game he is a top player in this league, so get off his back!!! Let this team grow together and maybe win enough this year to make the playoffs. That's all that matters. Not popularity contests.

You dont have to be best friends with everyone on the team but you also cant drag the whole team down with a depressing surly attitude.

Outside the fact that Marbs made the game saving play with the steal and the heads up timeout...Did anyone notice Marbs going over the last play with the chalkboard with David Lee...

aren't those statements contradictory? whether he got those 8-9 assists a game is not the issue when people say he was a selfish player... the fact is that he put himself over everyone else on every team he's ever played for throughout his career & expected everything to be catered around his game, including the system & his coaches... that's what people mean when they say he's a selfish player... i really don't think that's debateable... i like what i've seen from him the past 2 games, but i need to see alot more of it over a much longer stretch for him to make me a believer again.

players tend to do that when a new play is drawn up... it's called getting on the same page... is that worthy of praise in your eyes?

Are we talking about the same guy people here called disinterested and aloof and doesn't care about him teammates and the outcome of games....Are we talking about the same guy people here start a daily bashing thread about...Are we talking about the guy that people question his leadership three hundred times a day...Are you really asking me this question??.....

Well that in my eyes is demonstrating leadership and making sure everyone is on the same page...Yeah that is worthy praise and being highlighted in a forum when he needlessly gets bashed and no credit for the positive thing he does on a dialy basis...How is it no one here..not one person spoke about the defensive play at the end of the game and the high IQ play of calling a time out before the clock expired...I guess you are suppose to do that as well...

i already praised him for his good defense last night & for playing like a true PG should & being a leader last night in the way he got his teammates involved in the game & kept a positive energy even when he was off the floor & giving his teammates encouragement... do i have to repeat that in every thread for you to stop w/the inaccurate statements that no one ever gives him praise? when he plays well i give him his due... when he acts like a moron i call him out on that too... i call things like i see them... but getting on the same page when the coach draws up a new play is standard procedure in my eyes & what every player on the floor is expected to do... i don't define that as being a leader, sorry.
