I still have never figured out the point of fantasy trades.

it gives you something to discuss, just like all the hypothetical scenarios drummed up by people about what we could have had w/a pick or what we should have done with a free agent signing.

Nate has probably the best jump shot and quickest first step of anyone on the team, and he plays hard. He has the potential to be a perennial game changing 6th man of the year force like Bobby Jackson and Earl Boykins used to be, and that's nothing to sneeze at. But he is a bit of a rockhead unfortunately. I wouldn't be against trading him though I wouldn't sell him cheap.

I think Nate is an excellent role player to have on a team.
His shortcomings were obvious to me from last year, but his strengths are valuable and useful, hes a valuable asset.

THe Bobby Jackson is the best I've seen as far as projecting his best role for a team...

But still, I have a hard time seeing Nate having a role on a winner.

This is the one time I won't argue with someone that calls me a hater.

I love what he brings, but we already have guys that bring that. We need some variety to help our coaches make adjustments at crucial periods. How nice was it for Isiah to be able to go offense defense with his frontcourt last night. We need that flexibility in the backcourt. Nate, Craw, Francis and Marbs can all play but they don't provide us with any backcourt flexibility. We keep beating ourselves over the head trying to find ways to improve but trust me, as a coach, this is the quickest way.

Trueblue, are there any other players on the team the Knicks can't live without? I really don't think so.

I think Lee and Q are players you have to hang on to. If Crawford was the Crawford of last yr I'd include him also.

word... maybe McQuarters can orchestrate an offense for the Knicks, cuz he sure can't cover anyone on the defense.
