David Wright talent wise can't hold a candle to ARod, please... intangibles are another story, but even there he can't be put on Jeter's level just yet either.

Wright is a superb player.

i agree, he's a very good player... ARod is an alltime great & 1st ballot HOFer... there's really no comparison here, & i'm not taking anything away from Wright... just gotta look at the back of their baseball cards & there's really nothing to debate on it.

Wright won't hit the same number of HRs that A-Rod will hit, but he will be a .900 to 1.000 OPS guy for his career, which is pretty close to A-Rod. So no, he won't be exactly like A-Rod, but his stats will be closer to A-Rod's than they will be to Jeter's, which was the comparison I originally responded to.

david lee is mr. intangibles.

makes the big rebounds, the big passes (like that no timeout pass to marbury for the game winner), the big steals, the big dunks.

if he adds a mid range, he'll be a 6th man of the year EASY.

guy could easily put up 15 and 15 in starters minutes. but its his defense that doesnt make that possible right now.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

i also dont see lee becoming an allstar.

you have to do 2 things to do that --- score, or be DPOY.

lee can't really do either, but he's one of the better glue guys in the league, next to nocioni, battier, haslem, etc.

if we insisted on top 3 protecting the pick, right now our team would've been:

C - Frye / Turd
PF - Lee / Aldridge or Ty? / Sweetney
SF - Jefferies / Balkman
SG - Q Rich / Jamal
PG - Marbury / Nate / Collins
IA - Francis / Malik

w/a projected #3 - #5 seed in the lottery this season (since i'm assuming we'd have a little bit worse record than we have now)

not that much of a difference imo... i'd rather take what Curry's showing me at this point... if the Knicks end up winning the lottery this season then obviously that changes everything.

Wouldn't Curry be on that team as well?
I just hope that people will like me

no, because all reports had Paxson insisting on no lottery protection for the picks & the Knicks had zero cap space to sign Curry to any longterm deal that he would have agreed to (sorry, i don't buy that a guy w/his talent & upside would have signed the MLE offer when his real value was significantly more)... i'm just going off the reported facts... some posters saying that we could have had Curry w/o lottery protection is just speculation as far as i'm concerned.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Ummm I'm pretty sure I saw Nate on the bench drinking a latte when JR and Carmelo came over and knocked it out of his hand. Not sure what you guys were watching.
