You want your daughters face hit by a player whom might be 260 lbs and say 6-8? A punch like that by a pro athlete could kill someone!

Would you bring your 3 yeard old daughter to a crowded rock concert? If you are scared then don't bring small kids to the very front row of a basketball game, also don't bring your kids to the right foul line seats of a baseball game cause they might get hit by a foul ball.

The Knicks needed something like this, things like this help develop chemistry, loyalty and a sense of identity which the Knicks don't have at all! Even if its a bad one, at least now they have one in which they can improve on. C'mon Isiah is just trying to get these guys to feel something and get a pulse.

I think we need more thuggery, not less. First we implement Oohah's idea and put rope around the court, or maybe pexiglass like in hockey. Then we give the players boxing gloves, fire all the officials and let them have at it. I think the scoring might go down a bit, but it would be worth it for the extra action.

Maybe we could give them roller skates and let them ride motorcycles around on the court too. Sort of a basket-rollerball.

Sign me up for season tickets.

Well don't you think that's Isiah's fault to begin with? Instead of signing guys without a pulse and then trying to teach all of them to get a pulse. Why not just sign players with a pulse to begin with? He was so enamored with the potential of half of these guys(as were many fans) that noone decided to check their wrists for a pulse.

We give up 38 thousand points a game and you are talking about a pulse. Night after night we play no defense whatsoever and we are talking about a pulse. Our team has no pulse. They give up lay-up after lay-up and never once dig down to their competitive juices to get consistent stops. I guess it depends on the definition of a pulse. If pulse means run around real fast and take your man one on one than yes we have a pulse. If it means responding to a challenge as a basketball player, for the last 2 years we have displayed none.

i think anyone who has a problem w/Mardy's hard foul should also have hated Charlie Ward, Chris Childs, John Starks, Xavier McDaniel, Anthony Mason, Charles Oakley & every other former Knick who gave hard fouls to opposing players in similar fashion over the years.

btw, why is Frank Williams pushing Jason Kidd to the ground in a playoff game admirable & worthy of praise but Mardy Collins sending a message to a team that's running up the score in a blowout worthy of criticism? shouldn't it be the other way around if anything? just curious what the differing standards of judgement are here.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

TMS - excellent points

why is a hockey tough guy called an "enforcer"?

why is it accepted (and expected)in baseball to follow one knockdown pitch with another, even more sinister in intent?

why do fools fall in love?

When we had Pat, Oak, Ant Nason, Xavier McDaniels, Starks, ets, this team was built on intimidation, physical intimidation.
We manhandled our opposition. HARD fouls, were a way of life. Don't come in trying to dunk unless your sure you can do it. Point blank, our team was thugged out, you cannot deny it. How is it that 2 hard fouls is drawing all of this criticism from Knicks fans who cheered this same thing 10-12 years ago? I mean Mardy's foul wasn't anything really crazy, it was a hard foul, a flagrant, but he didn't do anything really crazy or attempt to injure him.

Twist and contort away.

killa, you need to make your way back to the garden. the best home win of the year happened when you were there.

scrathc that. The best home win was tonight, I wish I was there.
