Right, boneheaded turnover. Not "he's so clueless that he can't make a simple pass to a teammate during the biggest moment in the game is a reason for him to be let go." Like I said, I want Marbury out of here ASAP, but that turnover itself doesn't impact my feelings too much one way or another.

that's because David Lee has earned a pass in the minds of Knick fans for all the good things that he does on the court... Marbury's earned nothing but scorn for all the boneheaded things he's done as a Knick... there's really no comparison myth... all the vitriol that Marbury's getting right now is well deserved.

there was another boneheaded TO that Marbury committed last night when he was walking the ball upcourt not paying attention & had the ball swiped by Rajon Rondo that made me want to throw up.

On the next play you could see him pleading his case to Q on why HE was wrong.. and Q was just like "aight man whatever lets just play".

This is Marburys biggest problem. Not the turnover, but the way he handled it

All I'm saying is you can't call for a player's head because of a boneheaded mistake. Marbury's head has been called for... since shortly after he got here. Mostly for his attitude problems, negative presence in the locker room, fact he doesn't make anybody better and terrible defense. It is for those reasons he's hated - not for his tenancy to turn the ball over at crucial points during the game. Not fair to be looking at any and every detail and mistake he makes and pointing at that as just another example for why he should be gone.

interested because I saw Q tap his own chest and say my bad.

Through the fog of all of your hate. Q was looking at Steph and as Steph started to pass Q looked away and the ball nearly hit him in the head. Steph didn't handle it well because hes got fans booing him and knows he will be ripped for it. If Q made the pass and Steph missed it, you woulda blamed it on Steph in that instance also.

That turnover isn't why we lost or what we need to be upset about. We were down 30 in the 4th and lost to a bad team. Thats what we should be upset about. but hate away.

when there's a longterm accumulation of justifications for fans wanting him to be gone, i don't see a problem w/that myth... this is not a once in a blue moon instance w/this guy... it seems that he tends to choke or make dumb decisions during crunchtime.

errant passes are usually the fault of the guy throwing the pass... if you watched that play develop, u'd see Marbury looking at Q, who was looking back at him expecting a pass, then Marbury hesitates & Q starts to move to clear out of the zone (probably expecting Marbury to pass inside to Curry instead)... at that very instant is when Marbury throws the pass & almost hits Q in the head... a miscommunication yes, & it happens, i understand all that... but for it to happen in that moment of the game is inexcusable... & if Q woulda been the one to throw the pass then he'd be worthy of criticism too... let's get that much straight... the difference is Q has built up alot more credit in the eyes of Knick fans so a mistake like that would be somewhat forgivable, but when you're consistently making boneheaded plays in big moments like Steph has since he's been here, it's pretty hard to defend the guy when he makes another big blunder that proves very costly during a game.

Does he? I really haven't noticed that being a problem.

watch what he does w/the ball in crunchtime... he'll either pass it off to a teammate w/little or no time left on the clock (like he did to Q the night before last - Q hit the shot though on an impossible turn around fadeaway), or he'll commit a bad turnover while trying to take his man off the dribble & cry like he just got fouled (happens time & time again), or like the other night he'll make an ill-advised pass which ends up being a costly turnover... or he'll be at the free throw line & miss... it's like a broken record w/this guy.

Rule number one of passing....................... YOU NEVER THROW THE BALL TO SOMEBODY WHO ISN"T LOOKING. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!! A freaking point guard should know this.

according to clyde, the number one (or at least a very high) rule is never leave your feet to pass. but that's not something steph or steve pay much attention to either.

According to Clyde? Not leaving your feet to pass and not passing to someone that isn't ready is something you learn in the 7th and 8th grade. But sometimes these guys are so good as kids that coach's don't bother coaching them or they don't bother to listen. 20 years later, same mistakes only at this point the habit is impossible to break.

I think Marbs would have been boo'd less if he had shut his mouth last year, stopped blaming his coach, stopped calling himself Starbury and instead just listened and played. He refused and now he is paying the consequences. You cannot quit on fans one year and expect to get their love the next unless you are perfect. That's life.

well it's not like clyde is a hall of fame PG or anything, otherwise steph would listen to him.

things happen mistakes are made. But dont stand there and scowl at Q. Your the point gaurd, raise your hand and say "my bad".

It really was ridiculous. Q had the good sense to just say yeah my bad, but why is Marbury even still harping on that. You still have a chance to win the game. You need to be focused on what you need to accomplish to get the win, not harping on whose fault it is. Marbury just does not get what it means to be a team leader. I think he is a good PG when surrounded by veteran players and a go-to guy, but on a young team trying to find itself, I am starting to have doubts whether he can get it done. The bad part is that we are stuck with him for better or worse.

Trust the Process

Marbury don't got it. We need an upgrade over him. But there is no way of that happening. And no we don't have one on this team at the current moment.

He is not going to get bought out or traded though. We will eat his contract.

I can respect the fact that he attempted to try and be a pass first PG this yr. Something I never thought he would do. And has tried on defense though he still isn't good. But he don't got it. And we need someone who does.

First of all Im not going to put the blame soley on Steph, Q turn the other way the same time steph pass the ball, and if your playing the strong side of the court, theres no way you take your eyes off the man with the ball, especially when your orignal post play was dead. it was a bone a play on both parts.

Steph really should have played like were use to him playing, penetrating and dishing. This jump shooting non contact sh... is killing me, and burying him

Man. Don't you get it. Steph cannot do it any more - he is getting blocked, he cannot jump any more high enough to make a busket in traffic. He has a physical problem - he is old....
H ewill change his game or suck - he has no choise.
And even if he will change his game - why anybody need avarage PG for this mney. This is dead case.

Marbury can still get it done. I'm sure he'll still be towellin' and scowellin' when he's 50....

Or were you talking about his basketball skills?
