Ok, Skinner didn't really do a great job on Eddy in the 4th. They stopped feeding him the ball down low. Every time he got the ball, he scored in 2 easy moves!

Not getting the ball and not getting the calls frustrated him. He finished the 3rd with 32 and should have dropped 40. They need to start going to him a lot more often. Another thing, Lee and Curry work perfect together. That combo should not be messed with right now. Atleast let Frye earn his way back into the starting 5.

A big part of why he didn't get the ball was Skinner's D on him. Skinner was smothering him the whole time, so it was much harder to pass it to Curry.

While I agree Lee and Curry work really well together, what is it going to do to Frye's already fragile confidence if he comes back and is relegated to the bench?

force him to suck it up, accept his roll and work on his game. Frye is a good kid I think he'll do just that. If he has confidence issues than I rather not have him on the team

Nuff said, who the funk starts a thread with, "Let's keep it in performance in perspective", WHEN A PLAYER HAS A CAREER NIGHT AND THE TEAM WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Edited by - anji on 12-10-2006 12:11 PM]

Umm... me? Silly me, here I though perspective was a good thing. I see, objective analysis and criticism only on nights when the team loses – guess I wasn’t paying attention the day that was announced. Another mandate of the Cablevision era?

Cablevision???? I think the English announced it first.......... they called it Nit-picking.

Name me another player who could get a career high in a team win and anywhere it would be described as, "Let's put this into Perspective"......... what a back handed slap. "Only thing that bothered me", Yes. "A few things to work on", alrite. "Let's keep things in perspective"!!!!! That's what people say about that Retarded kid that hit those three's at the end of that highschool game....

LOL The perspective is Curry was the most dominant player on that court last night. Both coachs and all the newspapers agree.
I LOVED how Curry just exploded in the 4th, speaking as a fan of the Raptors, Curry looked well, scary I think is the word. Or Shaq-like Curry: 19.1ppg-7.3rpg-58%fg

It really wasn't that good. I counted 5 or 6 times when they could've easily thrown it into Eddy in the middle.

I am back and forth. Eddie still can do a better job at blocking his man out and establishing position so that there is no excuse to not get him the ball. On the other hand, Curry was doubled and if the guards either rotate the ball or penetrate, easy buckets could be had. It's all about recognition. "Head out there"

Yeah I'd say it was somewhere in the middle. Skinner was playing Curry tough (basically, mauling, grecko-roman wrestling, and fouling him every time down) but there also were a couple of occassions where Eddy had him pinned back but just did not get the entry pass. The pass Q made to Curry for the clutch hook shot was there several times earlier in the quarter but they just never passed it in there.

Man, did he make that small jump hook look ever so easy...My heart fluttered on that one...I immediately thought if he can make shots like that consistently there is no stopping him...

Good post. Objective.

I beleive Curry doesn't contest every shot for the simple reason of he is scared to be called for a foul get in foul trouble and be taken out of the game. If he is going to play that way though he is going to HAVE to bring his A game on offense every night. He needs to learn though how to contest shots without fouling if he is truely going to become an elite center. That might be the hardest task for him in his career.

Get a nice rugged lanky Center behind Curry to provide all the defensive ability that Curry lacks to change things up when we need it and we would be in great shape in the frontcourt.

The "problem" in the 4th quarter is that Skinner played great defensively and denied him in the post...The Knick players had problem getting him the ball...No reflection on Curry at all...That is not failing to "step up".

if you call pulling on Curry's jersey, holding his arms in the paint & basically fouling him in the paint, then yeah, he played great defense on Curry.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
