You know, I CAN"T FUKCING believe we are talking about booing. What next, players can't play if opponents trash talk? Too much talk on the court is too much pressure to perform?

well, you did bring it up. I'm just saying if you want to boo Dolan - don't give him your cash first. that just seems like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

if they're booing Marbury, that's fine. he certainly deserves it, but from what I've seen it hasn't been just him and I'm commenting mainly on people who think they can stick it to Dolan by booing at a game - which several people on here keep saying and which I just don't get.

Well it's both. With league pass our games are seen around the country, if not the world, and it ain't kosher for the world to see the fans so down on their team. Even Stern don't like that. But it's also true that poor ticket sales would also do the job, but again, based on expectations many fans, and corporations, already antied up for season tickets. Is it really fair to ask fans who pay hundreds of dollars a game, and tens of thousands a year, to just eat the loss and stay home just so Dolan doesn't have to hear it?

If the fans were going to boo attendance would be rising rather than dropping.

Had people not been told to expect a different kind of season than last - or put another way, if fans were told to expect just as gutless a season as last - hardly any tickets would have sold.

It's the disconnect between performance and expectations that gets the catcalls.

well that brings us back full circle - clearly the team is not comfortable in the environment at the garden and road teams are exceeding comfortable. they've beaten the same teams on the road, or played better against, that they've lost to at the Garden. they're a respectable 5-6 on the road. if they were comfortable at home, isn't it likely they'd be about 5-6 or 6-5 instead of 2-9. I think fans showed up to MSG angry from day one. I don't suggest there is any solution and if you've already paid for season tickets in full then I guess you go to every game and boo or whatever. I just think it's funny/sad that the team would actually be better if the fans were less frustrated and then the fans would be... less frustrated.

the conversation is getting old, but I still think it's a factor in the season. I mean, will the fans really change their tune if Isiah is fired? I think this season has been decent so far from the perspective that Curry is playing like the player we paid for, DLee is playing out of his mind, Balkman is justifying his pick, Qrich is having a return to form. the only major problem has been Marbury, and clearly the boos are directed at him more than anyone else. I don't buy the notion that he took off last season when he himself was playing out of his mind before an injury which he tried to come back from too soon. He's not a likeable person, but I think a lot of the reason he's played like garbage is the pressure he's feeling at the Garden right now.

as far as this thread goes - I don't think they're in a horrible spot, I think they can stay in the playoff race and that Jefferies will help the team.
